Baby Styling...

All Baby...
One of my closest friends is having a baby in about a month and her shower is Thursday after work.  I made this card big because about 15 teachers need to sign it...  I picked So Safron, Marina Mist, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz because the babies sex is unknown.  Personally I think she's having a girl - mostly because I'd love to be the auntie to a cute little girl (my niece lives across the country and although my nephew is adorable - girls are so fun!).

Coming soon.... Stylin' Stampin' Squads Blog Hop!  Come back Thursday morning after 7am EST to check out 20 new blogs with the same topic!

With Sympathy

My family received news that my dad's cousin lost her husband in December.  Because my parents moved in October, she didn't have their current phone number or address until she received their Christmas card... I made this card for my mom to give her.  I don't feel like Sympathy cards need to have all of the bells and whistles that I'd use in other cards.  I wanted it to be pretty but simple.  My parents lost our dog yesterday as well, so it's been a sad few days!

Stamps: Love and Sympathy
Ink: Night of Navy
Stampin' Write Markers: Old Olive and Marina Mist
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist and Bashful Blue
Top Note Die and Stripped Embossing Folder

Happy Stampin'!!!

Doily Die Valentine

Elegant Valentine
I wanted to make sure to post something new but I have been either super-busy or super-lazy the last week or so.  I made this card using a lot of new tools from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I love the color combo of Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler and Wisteria Wonder.

Directions:  I cut a Doily from the Flirtatious Speciality DSP and then cut a Heart from it using the Hearts Framelits.  I backed it with the same size heart using Blushing Bride and then attached that to a Cherry Cobbler Framelits heart.

Supplies Used:
Big Shot items: Hearts Collections Framelits Dies, Paper Doily Die, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder
Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder
DSP: Flirtatious Speciality
Punches: Lace Ribbon Border Punch and Modern Label
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Stamps: P.S. I Love You
Rhinestones and Dimensions

Enjoying Some Tea on a Cold Day

I am not a tea or coffee drinker - hot chocolate all the way for me.  However, when I saw the new Tea Shoppe set, I knew I had to have it!  I was envisioning a lot of fun things with this set.  The first card took forever because I couldn't take my vision and put it into a card.  I am so pleased I kept working on it because I love how it turned out!  By the way, cutting out the tea cup is by far the easiest thing I have cut out using the SU! Paper Snips!  :)

Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla
DSP: Twitterpated
Big Shot: Lattice Die
Punch: Modern Label
1/8 inch Taffeta Baja Breeze Ribbon and Pearls

All Things Stampin' Up! Blog Hop - January

Happy New Year!!  There is so much I LOVE in this new mini it was hard to pick just a few projects!   I have to admit that I do have several sets from the new mini.  I made a promise to myself that anything I purchased myself (I earned some for being a SU! demo during some challenges during the last few months), I would demo and USE!  So, all of my cards use Twitterpated DSP (I love it) and 2 of the sets I bought: Bordering on Romance and Tea Shoppe!  I hope you enjoy checking them out!

I decided to first feature an idea I had found in a magazine.  I have never bought a magazine and haven't seen the benefits of it until now.  This card was quite easy (just cutting and adhering) with my favorite Bordering on Romance set.  (Supplies are posted at the bottom of the post!)

My second card can be used as a "friend" card for any occasion or used for Valentine's Day.  I used the new Heart Framelits as well as the heart punch.  The best thing about the Framelits is that you can put them wherever you want on your page, you are not limited to where the "punch" can cut.  The polka dot  ribbon with button accents really makes this card sweet enough to give to "friend" in your life.

3-D Project: Thank You Cards with box
I wanted to make a 3-d project for the hop.  I really needed a small gift for my next workshop.  This idea was in the magazine exclusive to Stampin' Up! Consultants.  I loved the idea when I saw it.  This was extremely easy project.  The box fits 5 cards and as you can see, I didn't spend a lot of time making the cards.  I used the new Edgelits Dies and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders along with the Bordering on Romance stamp set which coordinates with the new Edgelits and folders.  I love this!  (I used the five in-colors for 2011-2013 for the cards because they will be one of the SAB items you can earn free at the end of the month!  :)

Cupcake Birthday using Fabric

Catching up on... birthdays!
Over the last few months I was so focused on the different holidays that I have used up all of my Birthday card stash!  So my mission for the next few days is to replenish my supply!  Here is a card I made using Twitterpated DSP and Fabric.  I haven't purchased fabric before but I fell in love with this fabric...

Cardstock: Baja Breeze and Pretty in Pink
Button, Fabric and DSP: Twitterpated
Stamp Sets: Create a Cupcake and Bring On the Cake
Other: Dazzling Diamonds (I used it on the edge of the "frosting" on the cupcake.)

Coming tomorrow.... the All Things Stampin' Up! Blog Hop!!!!  Hop along with us as we feature cards and projects from the new mini and Thank You cards (just in time after the holidays!!!).  Thanks so much for following me!
