Mother's Day Seed Packets
I am making these adorable little seed packets for Mother's Day.  I first got the idea from Mary Fish's website, but I started with her idea and made them into my own.  Each packet contains a packet of seeds (flowers, veggies or watermelon).  I plan to give these packets to the ladies who are mom's at my work and also sending them to ladies who were like "moms" to me growing up (including my own wonderful mom!).  Aren't they just so cute?  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think...

 Sweet One
What makes this seed packet so special is that the slice of watermelon on the front is scented like watermelon!  After I took the picture I also added "Happy Mother's Day" to the top (as pictured above).

This packet is very close to the one on Mary's website except I wanted a splash of color.  I really love the embossing folder look!

Beautiful Friend
I made this one specifically for my "aunt".  She really isn't my aunt (although she has been friends with my mom for almost 60 years), but as an adult I still consider her "Aunt" but even moreso, a friend.

HSS #115 Spring Inspired

I joined a swap on Stampin' Connection (exclusive website for Stampin' Up! demonstrators) and needed to create a card using only Black, White/ Ivory and a splash of color.  I made this extra for the HSS Spring challenge, I feel like it perfectly represents "spring".  The black and ivory represent the "drab" colors of winter, with the bright splash of colored butterflies.  Flowers, butterflies and bright colors equal spring in my mind.  The quote represents my life literally as I "live in the sunshine" in the sunshine state!

Below is the original card that I actually used for the swap as I was only supposed to use one color.

HSS #113 - All About Mom

This challenge worked perfectly for me today as I needed to make my examples for my upcoming class.  This is actually a notepad and pen.  I am going to be making a matching card and envelope to go with it!  Watch for that coming soon!

April Stampin' Stylin' Blog Hop

Welcome to the April Hop!
You probably hopped over from Annie's blog, doesn't she have a knack for making beautiful and creative cards and projects?  This month I decided to go with the Spring theme and make a set of gifts as a "thank you" to give one of my hostesses.

When I think of Spring flowers and butterflies immediately come to my mind.
Check out this gift trio I made!

The card pulls in all of the spring colors I can think of: pink, peach, yellow, green, turquoise and purple!

This cute little container is filled with paper clips but you can put candy, buttons, brads or any other small items in it!  If you are wondering where I got this cute little container, I recycled!  It is an empty container that usually has buttons/ brads in it from Stampin' Up!
This bookmark was so simple to make and the best part was that I just used all the extra dies that I had leftover!  It literally took me 2 minutes to make it!  Isn't the sentiment the best?  I love this set from the Mini, I really hope it stays!

Card Stock: Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder,
Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
DSP: Beyond the Garden
Ink: Jet Black Staz-on
Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine
Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Punches: Modern Label, Word Window and Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer
Big Shot Tools: Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder,
Blossom Party Die and Two Tags Die
Handheld 1/16" Circle Punch
