Core'dinations Card Stock in use

Yesterday I promised to share a card using the Core'dinations Card Stock and I did not want to disappoint!  Here is what I came up with (although I admit I used the general layout idea from the Holiday catalog that featured the Core'dinations Card Stock (page 6).

I love the colors in this card but I have to say I originally thought it looked a bit "busy" with the leaves and the plaid DSP behind it.  I pulled the colors of the leaves directly from the DSP.  As you can see, I used the Core-dinations card stock, embossed it and then sanded the embossed parts.  I love the rustic look of the card stock and the coordinating color that peeks thru!
If you take a look at this oval sentiment, you can see I roughed up the edges using the sanding tool as well.  I just look how earthy it looks!  I love the bright colors of the leaves - not sure I'd keep the plaid DSP though if I re-did this card.  ;)
