HSS Challenge #132

I am back!  Well, the first two weeks of school were challenging.  Really, we were only in school for 4 days, the rest was teacher planning time (aka: meetings and getting our rooms ready).  My class is super sweet, cute and well, full of energy!  I always forget how TIRING it is teaching 18 third graders all of my routines, etc...  and now, with Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Isaac coming our way, we have tomorrow off so far!  What this means for you is some pre-planned posts!  Yay!  Stampin' time is my favorite time!  I made this card for a challenge over at HSS!

Everything I used was Stampin' Up! except the colorful striped paper and because I cut it all up, I cannot remember the brand!  I did use directions in the Card Maker magazine to make this adorable card.  Don't you just love the candles?
They are literally just rolled up DSP with twine on the inside!  I love the look!

It's much easier than you'd think and it's my plan to make a video eventually.  But for now I can tell you that I cut pieces of the striped paper and flipped them to look like a chevron pattern.  It was a lot easier than it looks!

That patterned paper treatment is amazing! And how about that candle? SO cute! I especially love the banner edges at the base of the card, very clever. Thanks so much for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments, and good luck at school with those 3rd graders :) Erika
