Monday Medallions

Hi there!  This is my last week of vacation and I have to admit, I am sad!  I have enjoyed my summer of fun, but now it's back to reality.  I made a commitment to blog daily and I plan to keep that promise, but I will be trying to schedule the blogs ahead of time... right now I have projects through the middle of the week!  I am on a roll!  :)   Leave me a comment if you like my new blog or if you have a question!

I started this card last week and decided I wanted to cut out the medallion, so I put it aside until the framelits came!  I saw the card and remembered that I could finally finish it!  I found this pairing in the Color Coach - using Summer Starfruit, Primose Petals and Basic Gray.  I used two of my favorite sets right now: Delicate Doilies and Daydream Medallion.

When I saw the Daydream Medallion set and knew we were getting it at convention, I was quite excited because I knew I could use it with a lot of my current sets.  I love the Floral Frames Framelits to cut out the medallion and make it the focal point.

I wanted to use a sentiment that could be used for a Thank You, because yes, I am still writing them out!  Let me re-word that, I am still making them to send out (I haven't actually started writing them).  I am completely in love with the Dahlias.  I love buttons/ brads but the dahlias are so easy to use - there is no reason to make a hole or thread the button holes.  I love that part!  :)

Sneak for Technique Tuesday!  I will be sharing an awesome, new (new to me anyway) technique for using the Framelits in your Big Shot.  Everyone seems to be having issues keeping the framelits in place - I have your solution!  Check back tomorrow for my picture tutorial.  :)
