Punch Card Technique

Punch Card Technique
Sunday is a two-for-one day here at my Stampin' in the Sun blog!  You are getting a step-by-step technique here today.  The technique is simple but very snazzy for those of us who need pictures to show us how to do something!  When you are done, you will have a card shaped like whatever punch you used (yesterday I used the ornament punch and also the decorative label punch).  

1. Fold a piece of paper in half, you will need a bit extra on one side to be able to hold it, or you can make it smaller and stick a post-it note hanging off the top or side to use as a guide to stick it in the punch.  Then stamp your design right under/ on the fold.

 2.  Fold paper down on the crease (simply fold back to halfway point).

3. Place design into punch, just barely leaving a gap (as you can see, there is an empty space just above the stamped ornament).  Punch.  

4. Viola!  You now have a stamped shaped card!  These are perfect as tags for gifts, gift bags or even little lunch box notes for your student going back to school.
