Happy Black Friday! Although I am not a black-friday shopper, I do enjoy hearing the insane stories. I am not a fan of crowds and quite honestly, I don't feel like the "deals" are that great anyway.... especially having to deal with crabby customers, over-tired workers and waiting in lines. Mindy created this adorable sketch - I love it's simplicity!
I decided to use some of my new supplies - one is this "single" snowflake stamp that works with our Blossom Punch. I just LOVE that punch and was so excited to see a snowflake!
I wanted to this polka paper in the Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper pack, so I pulled some coordinating colors: Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple and Pretty in Pink.
How did I emboss the snowflake without having Raspberry Ripple Embossing Powder? Well.... I first inked the stamp with Versamark (cover it good) and then directly inked up with Raspberry Ripple. You don't need to worry, you can stamp the Versamark onto the other ink colors. Then, I sprikled the sparkly embossing powder and heated with my NEW heat tool. I LOVE the new Heat Tool... it has two settings: one for setting ink and the other for embossing. Arnie is not a fan of the noise but he doesn't like many noises.
It's hard to tell but I embossed the Pretty in Pink and Old Olive strips with Polka Dots and Chevron. It gives it the texture it needs!
I actually made a coordinating inside, typically I don't do that so this card will be for someone really special! :)
