PPA #137 Challenge

I used this sketch to create a card using my new Tricky Treats stamp set!  I just love the 4 images that are included in this set!  This set is perfect to use googlie eyes with as you can see.  I plan to make little Halloween treat bags, etc... with this great set!  The BOO! comes from Spooky Bingo Bits which I borrowed from my friend Marla!

Here's a picture of the stamp set featured:
Supplies:
Basic Grey, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock
Brights DSP stack (pumpkin pie)
Polka Dot Parade DSP (pumpkin pie)
Silver Glimmer paper
Black Staz-on ink
various circle punches
Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon

Mailable Monday: HSS #122 Challenge

I was excited to see this challenge as I borrowed the Aviary stamp set from my sweet friend Annie Lee!  I have wanted to buy this set but wanted to "try" it out first.  I am going to be sad when I have to ship it back to her!  I paired my favorite Pool Party with Pacific Point.  I LOVE the Internal Bazaar DSP that I received through a "share" with other demonstrators.  This was a great way for me to get several different types of DSP without buying all of the complete packs myself.

Doesn't the embossing look like bird feathers?  I love the simplicity of using embossing but the classy look it gives my cards!  I had intended on adding some ribbon but had glued before I did that, so.... I decided I liked the DSP too much to add anything extra to take away from the feathers!  The sentiment can be switched up depending on your need.  This card is very flexible in that way... It also opens to the side instead of at the bottom.

June Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Blog Hop!  Doesn't Annie have a knack for beautiful products?  BTW, It is official, the new catalog started on June 1st!  It is an exciting time of the year!  For me, I have been enjoying the Sneak Peeks that I ordered during May (as a demonstrator, we can order selected products early).
My first product is something I stumbled across on another demo's page.  You can see her original project and tutorial at www.gettincrafty.com.  I LOVE this project and plan to use it for my team at work during our teacher planning in the fall.  These are perfect for that (to go with the cute notebooks I showed off in a previous post).
I just LOVE this cute little water flavor packet holder.  It's perfect for our week of planning as we have to sit through a lot of long meetings!  The colors are all the new 2012-2014 in-colors so this fits into the "new catalog sneaks".  The new colors are: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit.  These colors will be around for 2 years.  Here are some close-up pictures for you:
My second project works for the "Father's Day" theme.  I was racking my brain last night trying to find a stamp set to fit my dad, I don't have a lot of manly stamp sets!  I finally came up with this manly looking card!
This card uses the NEW Apothecary Accents Framelits and the Layered Labels stamp set.  The center of the Layered Label that I used actually says, "create" so I just covered it up with the letters to spell out Dad.  I layered each letter on top of each other to make it fit the card.  I wanted a lot of layers since I knew that I wasn't going to add ribbon or buttons for my manly-man Dad!  :)
Keep hopping along the hop route... check out the next stop with Rose's impressive abilities!
