Fab Friday 03

Wow!  Week 3 of our Blog Challenge is already here!  This fall is flying by me!  I probably feel this way because we don't have fall in Tampa.  For some reasons 89 degrees doesn't feel like fall.
I started out wanting to make a card using a Halloween set, but after I made the card (and did not like it), I decided to try a rosette.  I wasn't quite sure about this, and then a mutual stamping friend suggested it!  So I decided to go for it!  This card was a quick make!

This card is definitely not one I'd pop into an envelope to mail.. but it's so pretty!  I told Mindy I wasn't a fan of the flags but they are really pushing me to be more creative and try new things!  :)

Supplies:
Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler Card Stock
Cherry Cobbler Ink
More Merry Messages Stamp Set
Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP
Apothecary Accents Framelits
Scallop Trim Border Punch
Simply Scored Scoring Tool
Rhinestones

I am enjoying checking out the rest of Design Team's creations!
Please feel free to leave us comments if you are enjoying the challenges!

Upcoming Googly Ghouls Class - register now!

These are some of the cards and projects we will be making on Sunday from 1-4 at my house!  Contact me ASAP to register to join us!  I can also do a personal class at your house for you and your friends!
Isn't this such a cute card?!  I love the tag!  I sponged the edges of the tag to give it an orange look!  I love the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  I received this paper from the Stampin' Up! convention that I attended in July while I was in Salt Lake City.  ***This card was CASE'd from someone, I can't find the original card.  If it's yours please let me know!***

Aren't these great treats to give your friends, family or children?  I plan to give some of them to my students and also my co-workers.  :)

Tomorrow I will feature the final card for this Halloween class!  Enjoy!

Freshly Made Sketches #53

I have started making cards in the morning BEFORE I go to work and not only is it great for starting my day off nice and relaxing, but since I am so tired after work, it's a way for me to get some cards made!  That was quite a long sentence!  Anyway, this card "came to me" on my morning walk with Arnie.  Yes, I get up at 5:00am to feed and walk Arnie and then make a card.... then I go to work.  A girl has to have her priorities.  LOL

I have been wanting to use this new DSP.  I have had it for quite awhile, and this sketch works perfect for all of the patterns together.  I just love the colors and at the last minute I decided to add the pearls.  :)  Supply list to come later!

Blooming with Kindness

I made this card in less than 15 minutes!  I needed a quick card for a birthday at work!  Isn't it adorable?  I love the color combo!  I seriously do not know what I'd do without the SU! Color Coach!
Technique used to create punch-outs for brads.  I used a small circle punch to create them!  What a perfect idea for this card.  It looks so cute this way!

Supplies:
River Rock, Melon Mambo and Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo
Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set
Regals Brads (Elegant Eggplant)
Stampin' Sponge
Fancy Fan Embossing Folder

Fab Friday 02

Wow!  We had so many participants with our last challenge!  I was so excited to see everyone's cards and different styles of creativity coming out!  It's our second Fab Friday challenge and this week is a color challenge!  I love color challenges because it usually pushes me to mix up colors I don't normally use in my stamping.

I didn't intend on this becoming a sympathy card but it just morphed into that... I love the colors, not too boring but not too bright.  Perfect for the sentiment!
I thought the Sahara Sand looked a bit boring so I added a versa mark stamped image as a "background".  I even embossed it, but it's very hard to see that in the photograph!
I hope you enjoy the 2nd challenge we have for you! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

September Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me from Annie's page!  She always has such cute items up her sleeve!  I am still in a whirlwind with the first month of school.  This week I had meetings every day after school and even one in the evening.  This makes for LONG days and lack of brain time.  I did make some super cute projects for this Blog Hop though and I also have some really CUTE cards to share this weekend (featuring Halloween!).
The pencil holder on the left is for my desk at work.  I am trying to make more things to shawcase our products at work.  The frame I made (see project HERE) has received SO MANY compliments.  It's the perfect way to show non-card items!  The card is a thank you I plan to give a student who thought of me on their trip to Poland (she knew I am polish and brought back some goodies for me).

I bought this cute acrylic pencil holder at Michael's for 40% off (I think it ended up being less than $5).  I made the inserts using card stock, DSP, a punch and a button.  Each side is the same design - showcasing "A, B, C, D" - one on each side.  The Storybook DSP works PERFECT for this as I literally cut them apart and glued onto the card stock!

This card was made using Storybook DSP.  It's great when you can piece DSP together to make it look soooo cute!  I love how the "It's a Wrap Occasions" stamp set looks so perfect with this paper!  Feel free to continue hopping onto Nancy's page!  She has some awesome projects for you this month!

Free Ribbon Sunday!

This is one of the cards we will be making Friday at my Chicks and Chocolate Class!  We will be focusing on Heat Embossing techniques.  I love the Emboss Resist technique.  It's so easy and really makes a card look spectacular!  I used the in-colors purposely to feature the "free" ribbon offer going on this month!
Free Stitched Satin 3/8" Ribbon with every $40 purchase in September!
No limits!  This is an $8.95 value!
Click on my "Shop Now" link to place your online order.  If your order reaches $150 or more, you will receive hostess benefits as well!

This card didn't quite make it for our Fab Fri 001 Blog Challenge yesterday.  I really feel like it needs something "more" in the top left corner, but I couldn't figure out what!  Sometimes this happens and the card is cute and anyone would love it, but it's not my favorite!  I do love the tricycle with the frog!
So cute!
As you can see below, I embossed the flag with the chevron embossing folder (my favorite!).  The color combo came from the Color Coach!  This is one of my favorite tools, especially when my brain isn't fully functioning (which happens at the beginning of the school year!).
Supplies:
Moving Foward (Stampin' Up! donates $3 of each set to the Ronald McDonald House)
Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Bashful Blue Card Stock
Brights DSP Stack (Tangerine Tango polka dots)
Basic Grey and Gumball Green ink
Tangerine Tango Button
Whisper White Twine
Chevron Embossing Folder
Scallop Border Trim Punch
