An Apple on a Fall Day

My favorite things of fall... are apples!
I love everything apples... with carmel, in pies, bread, oatmeal, crisp, anything and everything!  When I saw this stamp, I just had to have it!  I wanted a simple card but wanted it to be cheerful!  I added the bow at the last minute because I felt like it needed something extra.
I used the stamp set "Another Thank You" and didn't ink it generously... it looks "older" when you do this.  Doesn't it look like a painted red fence?
Do you like how I colored the image?  I used the Stampin' Write Markers and the Blender Pen.  I like how it looks "painted" - reminds me of being in elementary school and painting pictures!

Come back tomorrow for a Quick and Easy Card with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  Thanks for following me!  If you aren't a follower yet, please "follow me" and then comment here.  I will send you something in the mail (and who doesn't LOVE mail?)!

Halloween Tags 4 You and Goodie Gear

Halloween Goodies...
Here are two cards we made last Sunday in my class...
Aren't these little bags filled with candy corn adorable?  They are called Goodie Gear (#132161) from Stampin' Up!  You get everything seen here (except the ink) to make 10 of these goodies!  10 cello bags, tags, banners, stickers and baker's twine are what you get for only $4.95!
I just LOVE the candy corn stamp from Halloween Hello (#131721/ $14.95)!  It's perfect for these packages of num-num ness!  I also used the Oh' Goodie stamp set (#131889/ $8.95), I colored in the word "num" for this one.
For this card I used the circle thinlit to make this card.  I decorated it with the Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper #132185/ $10.95.  The little witch from Halloween Hello is stamped in Whisper White ink, isn't she so cute?  I stamped the "trick or treat" stamp in Pumpkin Pie ink, then "erased" the ink from the spiders and re-colored them in black ink.  Super scary, right?  (Thanks to my friend Michelle for giving me this idea!)

I am off to get ready for the Krop for Kids in Tampa today. I was asked last weekend if I would be the Stampin' Up! person so I have been trying to get things ready all week.  I am nowhere ready so I better get going!  We will be making Monogrammed cards for our make-n-take and I will have framelits, the new envelope punch board and liners available to use!

See you tomorrow and thanks for following me!

Friday Favorites with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

For the Birds... is for me!

One of my favorite things right now is the "For the Birds" stamp set.  I case'd this card from our Demonstrator Magazine Stampin' Success (ask your demonstrator how to get your own copy in the mail).  Do you "need" this stamp set like I did?  Go into my online store and use the following information to order it: clear mount #126407/ $24.95 or wood mount #126405/ $32.95!
Who doesn't get excited about a matching envelope?  I just love having the envelope matching the card!
Here's another creation using the same set with a similar idea... for Christmas!
How do you like the glitter for a "pond" for ice skating?  I am quite impressed with myself that I came up with this card at 6am!  :)  I used Real Red and Gumball Green for this card (I did use Pool Party to color the bird).  I just love the strips embossing folder, you can find it in the Holiday Catalog!

See you back here tomorrow for stampin' inspiration!

Tags 4 You - Happy Heart

More of Tags 4 You...
This is a direct CASE from my friend Heidi Boos from Stuck on Stampin.  She has a clean style that I love!  I am so lucky to be on a Design Team with her!  I used a different sentiment but I love how it turned out!  What a GREAT idea to make this into a "happy heart" card versus Valentine's Day.

Life has been a bit crazy for me this week... had to get a new cell phone and plan unexpectedly... and then a screw landed in my tire!  BOO!  Thank goodness for the amazing Marc in my life.  He spent all day in the rain getting the best deal for me to get two new tires (couldn't patch the ol' 5+ year old tire).  Anyway, I am going to get crafting! Tons to do before the weekend!

Thanks for reading and I will see you back here tomorrow morning!

Tag 4 You for Thanksgiving

Tags 4 You... Happy Thanksgiving
I created this card as a part of a set I made for examples.  I used an example I saw in my Stampin' Success magazine.  Their example showed a stamped image in the background which used a stamp I didn't have... so I used the Sweater Weather DSP and "roughed" it up a little bit using Gorgeous Grunge.

I used Bermuda Bay, Cajun Cruz and Crushed Curry for this card... It is a crazy combo for fall but I love it!  The Baker's Twine is perfect in the Chocolate Chip.  Let's talk about this Tags 4 You Bundle for a minute.  If you don't own it, you NEED to!  Four holidays in one stamp set and it comes in a 15% off bundle with the punch!  Perfect set!
Thanks for checking out my page!  Make sure to sign up for my blog updates if you haven't already!  Blog candy coming sometime this week!  See you tomorrow morning!

Fast and Easy Thoughts and Prayers Sympathy Card

Fast and Easy
Sympathy cards are one of those cards you need to be fast and easy... so this card was made in 10 minutes.  I know it doesn't look that way but the Pretty Print Embossing Folder (#132175/ $7.95) really gives it that "edge" to make it look like an expensive and time-consuming card!
I used the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set (I finally ordered it myself)!  I stamped the branch in Smoky Slate (hard to tell) and the sentiment in Island Indigo.  I just love the combination of Soft Sky and Island Indigo.
The card needed something extra so I added the bitty flowers on one branch.  Don't the pearls look so pretty in the centers?

Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you?  Well, I do!  If I didn't have my customers telling me they read my blog, and posting sweet comments, I'd never know!  Thanks for being THERE!  :)  See you tomorrow for a Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration post on Christmas cards!

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Washi Tape (late)

Thanks for sticking with me... I know I am late with this post but I didn't have time to post a second card until today!  Have you signed up for our Blog - Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration?  If not, click on the header below and go over to see all of the inspiration!
We are making this card in my Halloween Class today!  I really "saw" Gorgeous Grunge (in my head) paired with Halloween stamps.  I wanted a flat card that could be easily mailed.
The colors that my Color Coach suggested are: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie.  I absolutely love how they look together!  The embossing folder makes this look so much like fall!  I love how the "creepy" is the Washi Tape and the witch... then for the "crawly" part I needed a spider.  I used a retired stamp from last year!  I had to add those googly eyes to make him extra cute!  The sentiment comes from the Halloween Bash stamp set that I just got the other day.

As a bonus I made this Thinlit card for you.  We are also making this card in class today.  I am giving my friends two options (I posted the other one a few weeks ago).  I love the Tags for You stamp set!  It's perfect for the next four holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's Day!
I stamped the "Trick or Treat" stamp in orange and then removed the color (using a Blender Pen) on the spiders and then colored them black.  I punched it out using the matching Do you know you can get the Tags for You Clear Mount Bundle for 15% off in my online store?
Go order it using #133294 for only $26.95!  You can also order the Wood-Mount Bundle for 15% off as well using #133293 for $30.95.

Let me know if I can help you place an order!  Thanks so much for reading my blog... I appreciate all of you!

Owl Love You using the Owl Builder Punch

I am "owl"sessed I admit it!
I am so in love with this owl punch!  I made this card for Marc this past weekend while he was sick!  Being sick sucks, especially when you have been infected by the teacher in your life!  LOL  Marc and I are always coming up with different ways to say "I love you" and here is a new one:
I used the Owl Builder Punch, the Heart Punch and the Alphabet dies.  The black newsprint comes from the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper Pack.
I used the Best of Love Set for the inside of this card!

I have a lot of prep to do this weekend so I need to get to work!  Check back tomorrow for another project!

Fab Friday #27 and Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Double Feature Friday!!!
Who doesn't LOVE a double feature movie?  Sometimes it's hard for me to stay awake during one movie, so two is even harder... but when I am awake, I just love seeing two right in a row (winter is perfect for this!).
I needed a card for the teacher next door.  She was "promoted" of sorts... it's really a parallel promotion but she will no longer be in the classroom.  She is excited, I am happy for her, but sad to lose my partner!

Do you love the color combination of Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate?  I used the Color Coach to help me out with that...
As you can see I made an envelope liner (using retired paper)... how can you not line every envelope when it's so EASY?!
I wanted the card to really pop so I added a lot of dimension to it.  Between the foam dimensionals and the pearls, it really looks "popping".
I just love the embossing folders and with the postage stamp punch and butterflies... it's just so pretty!  It looks like those butterflies are flying off the card!

Come back later for my Washi Tape post for SSI!

Wahoo... extra Paper Pumpkin Projects and Cancer Tributes

Wahoo... September My Paper Pumpkin
Monday was a great day in my house... My Paper Pumpkin arrived (and it was a total surprise).  I didn't like this stamp set immediately... then a few ideas came to me.  Here is the first one:
I made this card for a friend who just successfully finished her treatments for Breast Cancer.  I am so happy for her... especially after knowing what it's like to go through chemotherapy (I had cancer in 2002).  I really feel like this large stamp and the smaller "you did it" are perfect to celebrate her achievements!
The "Ribbon of Hope" might be retired in the stamp form but you can still download using MDS!  I made this card into a 5 1/2" square.
Don't you just love the Strawberry Slush as an in-color?It's perfect for Breast Cancer!  :)  I used the 2013-2015 In-color Designer Series Paper Stack.  I cut three strips to make the background for this card.  As I was finishing, I decided to add the flower (from the Boho Blossoms punch) and the Itty Bitty Butterfly punch!  Adding the bling was the perfect addition to make this card perfect!
I lined the (retired) envelope with the same polka dot DSP from the in-color paper stack.  On the inside of the card I used a stamp from another company (I never do this...) and the Ribbon of Hope stamp (retired but as I said, you can download it from MDS).

Feel free to leave a post about someone who could use a card like this who is going through, or has gone through, cancer.  You can also post a tribute to a loved one who fought their battle with cancer but went onto heaven...

See you back here tomorrow for two projects: Fab Friday and Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  Thanks for following me!

***This post is in honor of Gabe (one of our students), Emily and Myron.  It is in memory of Jason, Aunt Marion, Joey DeLaura, and too many others to name!***

Happy Birthday Balloons with the Circle Thinlit

Birthday Balloons using the Circle Thinlits
I just love the new Circle Thinlits.  It's so fun to be able to create a movable card so quickly!  The balloons are so easy to create (check out yesterday's blog for more info).  I used Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit for this card.  Birthday Basics is one of my favorite Designer Series Paper (as you may know from a previous post) and that is the paper I used here to decorate the front.
I did use a full card (5 1/2 x 8 1/4) and slipped the one end on top so that it didn't cut it... that makes it possible to fold it forward to have room to write.  (If that is confusing, please post a comment and I can email you a picture).  I used my new Remembering Your Birthday set to stamp the sentiment.
The cupcake punch was one of the first punches I bought from Stampin' Up! and I still love it.  I used it here to add some birthday love to the back.  Itty Bitty Banners with the matching framelits makes a nice greeting for the front of this card!  How do you like the way I adhered it?
Make sure to decorate the envelope as well!  Cycle Celebration is perfect for a birthday envelope.  I stamped the candle in the matching Bermuda Bay (I colored in the flame with Summer Starfruit) and the soda bottle in Raspberry Ripple.

Not sure if you want to order the Thinlits just yet?  Well they are a DEAL with all of these pieces!  The circle set has not only the card thinlit but 9 others to use to decorate the card (or other cards).

Circle Card Thinlits Die #133480/ $32.95

Tomorrow I have variations for the My Paper Pumpkin Kit this month...  Thanks so much for following me!

Small Post-it Note Tutorial using the Owl Builder Punch

Happy Birthday Owl Post-it Note Pad
I am so thankful to Susan for posting her tutorial for this same post-it note pad.  Check out here blog here if you'd like to see her original post.  I tweaked it a bit and took a few more pictures to show you "how to" do it yourself!
Do you love this owl as much as I do?  I know, you have seen a lot of him lately.  I didn't really like him at first but he's really been growing on me... he has so many uses!  Anyway, to make this post-it pad, you need to go to Staples (or any office supply store) and get 1 3/8" x 1 7/8" post-it note pads.  You get 12 in pack for $5.99 if you get the Staples brand.

You need to cut a strip of paper that is 2 1/4" by 8 1/2".
Score this paper at 2 5/8", 3 1/8", 4 5/8" and 6".  If you look at your paper the way I have (with the smallest section as the second one closest to you), #2 will be the "back" to the post it note.
The picture above and the picture below are both pictures of how to fold the card stock.
#5 folds back ONTO #4 and gets glued as you see below.
As Susan recommends, I also used Mono Adhesive to adhere #5 to #4.
Sticky strip goes on back of the post it pad and it gets adhered to #1.
Here is what it looks like from the side... you can see that the "display board" fits behind the post it pad!
To make this Owl I used the Builder Punch and cut out a few extra "wings" to use as arms to hold the balloons.  Are you wondering how I made the balloons?  It's the 3/4" x 5/16" oval!  Order it in the online store now using #120908 for only $12.95.  The little "blow hole" (what else do you call that part?) is the foot from the owl glued to the balloon!  How super cute?
This post it holder is a direct CASE from Susan, how super cute is it?  I love the "stitching" around the edge of the punched witch!
Planning to place an order?  Every $50 spent gets a chance to win a free stamp set PLUS $10 in free "Stampin' stuff".  Use Hostess Code: H3ARM7SJ

Thanks so much to Susan for allowing her stampin' friends to CASE her project idea!  Come back tomorrow for the card that will go with the Birthday Owl Post It Pad.
