Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop with a File Folder Card

Thank you so much for joining us for the September Stylin’  Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop! This month we are focusing on the tools of the stampin’ trade. Specifically, each of our favorite stamping tools. It’s amazing the kinds of tools that have been created to help us along in our paper-crafting addictions.  This month’s blog hop will showcase many of the Stampin’ Up! tools that are now available to us in the 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Holiday Catalog and even a couple of products that are so new they aren’t in either catalog. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the old and new tools and are inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.

You should have just left stop number 1 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop –Shellie G's Craft Smashup. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

My Favorite Tool is the new Envelope Punch Board and the Envelope Liners!

Here's what I came up with....
I got the idea from Patty Bennett (at Patty Stamps) and tweeked it for my own use.  She even has a video on her blog on "how to" make it!  I just love the File Folder look!  I used "Another Thank You" stamp set which is part of the Photopolymer line.  The different fonts in that stamp set are so cute!  You can get it in my online store using #133454!
As you can see I used the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set (more coming tomorrow on that great bundle!)!  One of the features of the punch board is that it has a wonderful corner rounder... it's like two tools in one!  I layered my 2.75x3.5 card using the Costal Cabana Card Stock.
I added some punched butterflies with rhinestones to give a 3-d effect!  That DSP on the larger butterfly comes from the Gingham Garden Pack - Melon Mambo is one of the featured colors!  Who doesn't love the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon?  It's especially sweet looking paired with the Bermuda Bay DSP Stack and Costal Cabana on the smaller butterfly.
Here is the matching envelope that I lined using the Melon Mambo DSP Stack.  I only used half of what you can put into the Envelope Framelit.  A 6x6 piece of DSP is what it takes to make a full size envelope liner, I used a 6x3 piece of DSP.  It doesn't fully line the envelope but that's ok, I have to conserve my "current" DSP.  The envelope liner is a GREAT WAY to use up your retired (aka: old and taking up valuable stamping storage) DSP!
Envelope Liners Framelits Dies
Envelope Liner Framelits #132173/ $26.95
Envelope Punch Board
#133774/ $19.95
***Remember, with this punch board you can make 66 different sized envelopes, you get a corner rounder and NOW you can make the adorable File Folder Card I showed you!  SCORE!***

Don't forget that we are INKspiring you 5 days a week over at our sister blog:
Come back here tomorrow for Framelits Friday!
