Welcome Washi Tape to the SU! line!

I was so excited to see WASHI TAPE in the new Stampin' Up! Annual 2013-14 Catalog (contact me if you'd like a copy!!!).  Although this catalog is not released until May 31st, as a demonstrator I can pre-order some of the items!  Washi Tape is my FAVORITE item so far (besides all of the brand new colors!).
Don't you just love that sentiment?  It's also in the new catalog!  I literally tore random sized pieces of tape and placed them on the card.  I then made the pinwheel and used a glue dot to adhere it!  I embossed the sentiment using Melon Mambo embossing powder!

I hope you have enjoyed this cute card!  Come back tomorrow for more previews!

FREE SHIPPING for 24 hours from ME and new products!

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I am able to "pre-order" new items from the catalog!  Last week I placed my pre-order, which included 15 new colors!!!!  Yeehaw!!!  Here is a card I made yesterday using the new products and colors:
As you can see from the above picture, there is a "mistake".  I inked up the stamp so much it made what we call a "shadow".  A huge mistake in the minds of many people, however not in my mind.  I am not one of those people who will re-stamp everything all over again over one little mistake.  I decided I was going to "fix" it my own way:
How do you like it?  I punched out the sentiment and now it looks like I did this all on purpose.... when  I actually had no intentions of doing that!

You might be wondering how I was able to fit the stamp exactly into the hole.
Well, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig!!!  This is the BEST tool ever, I can't believe I have lived so long without it!   I watched my video on the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website and it's not available just yet because it has new product featured in it.  So.... I found a link to a great tutorial for you HERE.

If you'd like to know more about the products featured in this card, or to receive a NEW Stampin' Up! catalog, let me know!!!

Anyone who orders before tomorrow at 8pm will receive FREE SHIPPING (from me) and a packet of samples from new items being released on May 31st from the new catalog!  In order to get free shipping you must email me your order DIRECTLY!  :)  SHOP NOW to make your list to email me at: pam718steckman@gmail.com

Fab Friday #17

Welcome to Fab Friday #17!
This is going to be a short post because I had a long day and tomorrow I have a Field Trip to an Organic Farm with my class.  I need to go to bed early...  I am not quite sure I love the colors (usually I love the Color Coach combos) but I love the layout so I going with it.

The new set is called Sketched Birthday's and it's from the new 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.  As a demonstrator we get to preview the catalog before it's sent to customers!  This set was given to me at Leadership back in January.  I hadn't used it yet so I figured it needed to see some ink!

Check out the other designers cards... I will post links when I have some extra time!

Best of.... Butterflies (just one more) and TUTORIAL!

I saw a card like this on Pinterest and I had to give it a try!  It features "retired" paper however you could use any Desginer Series Paper to make this card!  I also featured the stamps from the first month of My Paper Pumpkin (our new program where you receive monthly projects in the mail for $19.95 a month!)  It's awesome - join here!
Directions for this card are following the picture!
Steps to make this striking card:
1.  Adhere a strip of Designer Series Paper (Sunshine and Sprikles would be CUTE!).
2.  Stamp the "mis-matched dots" how you like - I stamped them twice.  I used Pool Party ink.
3.  Stamp "Hey there friend" in Island Indigo ink.
4.  Using MARKERS, "color" your stamp.  I used a random pattern and tried to use "lightest to darkest" so my inks didn't mix on my marker tip.
5.  Huff on the inked up stamp (kinda like you did when you were a kid and trying to huff on a cold window).
6.  Stamp onto a separate piece of cardstock.
7.  Fussy cut the butterfly (oh, which is from the "Best of Butterflies" set.
8.  Scribble glue from a 2-way glue pen onto the butterfly.
9.  Dump glitter onto glue - shake off excess.
10.  Using a dimension, adhere butterfly to the card.  Viola!  You are done!

Best of.... Flowers and Stampin' Spritzer Technique

In continuing with my "Best of" theme, I am focusing on the Flowers set.  I fell in love with this set immediately as I love flowers!  You can see that the "new" image is able to be punched out - yay!  :)
I used the "Stampin' off" technique with the flowers.  I first inked up my flower, and stamped, then over-lapped it slightly and stamped again.  It looks like a brand-new color and you are not wasting ink! Apparently I am obsessed with butterflies lately because it made it onto both flower cards!
This first card uses several techniques, one of my most favorite is using the Stampin' Spritzer (#126185 - you get two for $2.99) to color our flowers.
5 Simple Steps to "Spritzing":
1. Fill a spritzer 3/4 of the way with rubbing alcohol (90%).
2. Mix in several drops of re-inker.  You can use as much or as little of the re-inker.
3. Shake it up and you are ready!
4. Spritz whatever you want that color.  It works on ribbon, glimmer paper, card stock, flowers, etc...
5. make sure you let it dry for a few minutes before trying to adhere to your project!

The second card uses the 1 1/4 Circle Scallop Punch (#127811) to punch out the cute little daisies.  I used dimensionals under the daisies to pop them up and give them some "umpf"!  :)

Remember that when you order 6 "Best of" sets, you get to pick out any $14.95 set from the catalog for FREE!

Come back tomorrow for some "Best of Birthdays"!

Best of... Butterflies

On Sunday I will be hosting a "Best of" class featuring 3 of the new Best of stamp sets.... we will be making the first two cards using the Butterflies set (#127526).
This first one features three different shapes of purple:  Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.  I used the Wisteria Wonder twine to finish off my card easily.  I love how simple, yet striking this card is!
This next card uses the Best of Butterflies set as well as Papillion Potpourri.  I stamped the butterflies, then punched them out.  I used the same big butterfly stamp for the small punch out so the pattern was the same.  :)  This card is using mostly retiring colors: Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and the one non-retiring color of Wisteria Wonder.
This final card is one I will have as an example but we will not be making it.  It is uses the sentiment set "Feels Good".  I used Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party.
I can't wait to see what May's "Best of" stamp set!

Fab Friday #16

It's a beautiful color challenge over at Fab Friday.  I love this color combination! It's my favorite combo now!
As soon as I saw this set I knew it was perfect for By the Tide and By the Seashore!  My mom loves the beach and shells, so I thought I'd make this into a Mother's Day card.  Here it is:
I hate fussy cutting but this set was super easy to do!  Isn't the cloud Embossing Folder perfect for this set?
I stamped the shells in three of the challenge colors on the envelope.... and fussy cut one out for the middle of the card.  I also lined the envelope with Calypso Coral Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for joining us!  Check out the other designers blogs here:

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

Welcome to our Blog Hop for April!  During this month we are focusing on Weddings and Anniversaries with Silver thrown in to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Stampin' Up!  I decided to focus on the Wedding portion, specifically an engagement.  My cousin Krista got engaged several weeks ago and my card to her is long overdue!
I recently fell in love with Pool Party and had to purchase the embossing powder!  I embossed this pretty dress on Basic Gray cardstock, layered it on silver sparkle paper and then put it on a piece of Pool Party using the Fancy Fan embossing folder.
I just LOVE the Basic Gray and Pool Party together!

I love how the bow pops off the card!  There is a lot of dimension to this card - all of the layers are stacked using foam tape!
The inside is simple so I have a lot of room to write something to my sweet cousin!
Supplies:
Basic Gray and Pool Party Card Stock
Pool Party Embossing Powder
Love & Laughter Stamp Set
Fancy Fan Embossing Folder
Rhinestones
Silver Sparkle Card Stock
Hearts a Flutter Framelits
Basic Gray Ribbon
