Washi Tape Magnets and BLOG CANDY

Washi Tape Magnets
I have seen many, many examples of Washi Tape magnets online and I wanted to make my own!  I plan to make these for my team at work before school starts!
I used Pear Pizzaz as the base and stamped the flower from Embellished Events (#126497/ $20.95 clear) in the same color.  I punched out the tiny flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (#118309/ $16.95).  I just LOVE the new candy dots - I used both Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight in the centers of the flowers.

I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink using the stamp from the World Treasures set (#126767/ $17.95 clear).  I cut it out with the matching framelit from the Apothecary Accents Framelits Set (#127003/ $24.95).  Who wouldn't love to receive this as a little gift?

Make a comment and I will randomly pick one winner to win a set of Washi Tape clothespins and one set of Stampin' Up! Washi Tape!!  (You must be a follower of my blog to win so I know who to email so please add yourself as a follower!!!  THANK YOU!)  You must comment by tomorrow, August 1st at 8pm EST!

Guess what I have to show you tomorrow?  Another Washi Tape exmaple!  Yay!  Thanks for reading my blog... catch you tomorrow for more "tape" fun!

Hello, Lovely and Washi Tape

Hello, Lovely and Washi Tape
A Stampin' Up! advertisement showed all of the colors of the Washi Tape in a row (like a rainbow) and it got me to start thinking!  Here is the card that was inspired by that advertisement.
Although our colors aren't exactly all of the colors of the rainbow (no biv), it's pretty darn close!  Who would notice that two sets of these are considered "Halloween" and "Christmas"?  I used the sentiment from the "Hello, Lovely" stamp set we received at convention.  I absolutely LOVE the sentiments from this set!  I can't wait to share the convention make n' takes with you eventually (once I start finishing them LOL).

Speaking of convention, I saw a lot of silver items for the 25th Anniversary!  I added some to this card with the arrow and silver sparkle paper!

Would you like to make this card?  Join us on Sunday, August 11th from 2-5 to make this card as well as 4 other projects!

I also have some exciting news!  On August 8th I am taking part in the launch of a new Design Team... Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  This idea is a spin-off from our monthly blog hop.  There are several designers and we will be posting daily ideas and designs every Monday-Friday.  Check out our blog HERE and sign up for our daily email updates!

See you tomorrow for another Washi Tape example!!  :)

I am back with WASHI!

Washi "Gift"
I am sorry I have been MIA for a week or so... I am back and have TONS of great projects to show you!  Thanks for reading and being my customer!

This is one of the five projects we will be making in our What to Washi class on August 11th from 2-5pm.  The cost is $30 and includes all 12 Stampin' Up! rolls of Washi Tape.
This card features the Gingham Garden Washi Tape (#129314/ $4.95).  It's on page 171 in the Annual Catalog.  To make this card I cut a square and covered it with Washi Tape.  I added a bow made from Island Indigo Baker's Twine (#125575/ $2.95).  ***I case'd this card from an idea I saw online, but I can't find it now... sorry!***

Do you LOVE that Happy Birthday stamp?  It comes from the Hostess Set "Banner Greetings" (page 202 of the annual catalog).  How can you get this set?  I am so glad you asked!  You can host a qualifying workshop (ask me how), get your friends to order via a workshop online, OR make $150 in purchases.  You can then get this set for only $8 (for the clear set) of your workshop rewards!  Every $150 order receives hostess benefits!

Come back tomorrow to check out another Washi Tape project!

Picture Frames for Stampin' Friends

Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart Frames

I wanted to make something that my Convention Roommates could put on their stampin' desk....  I used each girls favorite SU! color and here is what I came up with:

This one is for Patti and it used Island Indigo, Pool Party and Melon Mambo.  Isn't the Washi Tape adorable?  I am addicted to it!
This one is for Jessica and it uses Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder.  It's hard to tell but there is a button in the top right corner,  I attached it right to the frame.
Finally this one is for Michele and it uses Costal Cabana and Smoky Slate.  I added the ribbon to the front outside as well as the Costal Cabana accent button.

See you tomorrow for more stamp-spiration!

Perfect Blend Coffee Gift

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner...

The card I made for the convention swap (using Crazy, Mixed Up Love) was the Bumble Bee!  :)  I emailed the winner... they will receive some of the cards I have created this month as well as a "birthday" themed package to honor my birthday today (my 8th annual 29th birthday!)

Coffee Gift

I made these cute little coffee holders for my Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends.  It's tradition to exchange little gifts - this year I made mine!  After all we are "papercrafting" friends!
I did use the retired Petite Pocket die but the paper (This and That DSP) and stamp set (Perfect Blend) are current.  I also included a little Starbucks gift card for them to use.  I tried to make them look like something you'd get at Starbucks!

See you tomorrow for another gift and maybe some sneek peaks of information from convention!

Mosiac Madness with Tye-Dye Ribbon

Mosiac Madness meets the Stamp A Ma Jig...

There is NO other way to make this card than by using the Stamp A Ma Jig.  It did take awhile (I may never give it away) but it's sooo very pretty!  I love the bright colors - just my style!  How did I tye dye the ribbon?  It's so simple using the Stampin' Spritzer (2 for $2.95/ #126185)
The trick with the spritzer is to fill it up 3/4 of the way with rubbing alcohol (I think mine is 94%) and then add several (depends on how bright you want it) of the reinkers.  I used several colors and spritzed it all over the ribbon (I used an old piece of cardboard.  The bleed into each other easily to make a tye dye pattern!

Colors used: Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Pool Party
Stamp Sets: Mosiac Madness and Banner Greetings (hostess exclusive set)

I am off to Salt Lake City tonight for the Stampin' Up! Convention!  Don't forget to vote on your favorite card and see which one is the winner!

"Crazy, Mixed Up Love" Love Notes Day 3

Who doesn't love some lemonade in the summer?!

I was debating whether to make this a lemon or a lime.  Limes are my favorite afterall.  I really like the way this card is on an angle.  I tried coloring in the hearts but it did NOT look right - so I left them plain for this one.
I embossed the background with my Chevron Embossing Folder.  I have to say I just LOVE the embossing folders!
Colors: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight

Vote on your favorite love note by trying to guess which one from the three which one I made for one of my swaps!  There may be some blog candy involved - as always you need to be a subscriber to win!  Voting closes tomorrow at 8pm.

"Crazy, Mixed Up Love" Love Notes Day 2

Here is card number two from my Crazy, Mixed Up Love "note" collection.  Don't you just love the little glimmering heart?  I just love this little card and it only took a few minutes to create!

Come back tomorrow to see the third card from this set and to vote on your favorite of the three!  See you then!

"Crazy, Mixed Up Love" Love Notes Day 1

Be Mine Bumble Bee....

I love this bee from the "Crazy, Mixed Up Love" set.  Over the next 3 days you will be checking out 3 love notes I created for a swap.  You will be able to vote on Tuesday as to which card I actually made for the swap.  :)  I had to make 85 of them so it can be a little tedious!  Here is the first one:
Would this make a great card for Valentine's Day?  I plan to give these cards to my boyfriend!

Stamp set: Crazy, Mixed Up Love
Colors: Basic Black, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight

Come back tomorrow to check out another love note!

Thoughts and Prayers in Soft Sky

Sympathy using Thoughts and Prayers

I borrowed this from a sweet friend in CA (Thanks Annie) to use in a workshop and make some swaps for convention.  It is now on my wish list.  I have always passed it by, but sympathy/ thinking of you cards are so important!  Today I am looking forward to seeing friends and family!
Stamp Set: Thoughts and Prayers
Colors: Soft Sky and Soft Suede

See you tomorrow for some more stampin' in the sun!

Fab Friday #22

Welcome to Fab Friday #22

This week we have a color challenge and I love it!
I wanted to use my new set Six-Sided Sampler with the Hexagon Punch.  Didn't it turn out cute?  I used the candy dots to "connect" the hexagons at the center.  The sentiment (from the Lots of Thanks stamp set) is cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  I cut one of the "half circles" off the end to align it with the card stock layering.  The stitched ribbon in Real Red adds a perfect accent.
Please go check out the other fabulous creations from our design team.  And please leave us a comment if you love what we've done!

Thanks for joining me today!  Come back tomorrow for more creations!

Welcome to the July Birthday Blog Hop!

We have some exciting things going on over at Stylin' Stampin' Squad... you are going to love the interactive feature coming soon.  :)  Watch our hop next month for more information!  BUT... for this month we have a birthday hop.  When we come up with the blog topics, we try to stick with one topic.  Since this is the month of the Stampin' Up convention (which is in a few shorts days) and MY Birthday (I am turning 29 for the 8th time in a week) you will be hopping through some birthday cards and projects.  :)  Enjoy the projects and make sure to leave us some loving comments!
This card is one of my swaps for convention.  I love the combination of Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate together!  Both stamps from the Cycle Celebration stamp set.  I just love that punch out and the bicycle!  I had intended on making a project but with classes, nannying, traveling, etc... I did not have time!  My apologies!  I promise to have a project for you next month!

Evergreen in blue for Christmas

Last Christmas Card in July

This is my fifth and final card for my Christmas in July Class on July 28th.  I wanted to make a "different" card... I know trees aren't blue but I really love the look of this card.  :)  Today I am teaching a class for my mom and her friends in Michigan.  Crazy, I know.  I do have customers in Michigan and when I go there, I offer to do a class.
Colors: Night of Navy and Soft Sky
Stamp Set: Evergreen (not in the main catalog)

See you tomorrow!

Mosiac Madness for Christmas

Mosiac Madness for Christmas?  Yes!!!

I saw this card design online and immediately thought of Christmas!  Don't those little Mosiacs look like ornaments?
I used Real Red and Smoky Slate for the two inks.  The Modern Mosiac embossing folder gives such a crisp look, I love it!  The small Merry Christmas greeting comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Remember that you can make all of these Christmas Cards I have been featuring (5 total cards) on July 28th.  Cost is $25 for 10 cards (two of each 5 designs) or $40 for 20 cards (four of each 5 cards).  Let's get a jump start on the upcoming holiday season NOW!  :)

Happy Hour Christmas in July

Don't whine, we have some wine!

Do you see the connection to the end of my post yesterday?  Today I am using the Happy Hour stamp set to bring you a holiday driven card!  Why do I start making cards in July for a holiday over five months away?  Because who really has time to make cards in December?  If I get started now, I will have them all done by the time I need to send them in December!!  (And I can use the cards I didn't end up sending last year!)
I wanted to use the Brushed Silver Card Stock for a classy look and I think I achieved that!  I layered it on top of Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla paper.  The sentiment comes from a set not in any catalog but still available: More Merry Messages #126402/ $24.95 for 10 stamps!  I stamped the wine glass in Cherry Cobbler and added the holly berry!

See you tomorrow for more holiday inspired creations!

For the Birds Christmas in July

For the Birds for Christmas

This stamp set is one of my most recent "favorites" to use lately.  I just love those little birdies!  I wanted to feature sets for these Christmas in July posts that were often overlooked for Christmas!  This one is one of those sets!  This is a fun card to use for kids, co-workers, even family members!  It's not too detailed that making several would get tedious!
It's hard to tell but I did use Whisper White card stock as my base (I didn't think about it when I took the picture on a white background!).  Don't you just LOVE the new Designer Series Paper Stacks?  That is where this beautiful Gumball Green Chevron paper comes from!  Don't forget that adorable stitched satin matching ribbon!

Supplies:

Whisper White and Real Red Card Stock
Designer Series Paper Stack - 2012-2014 In Colors (Gumball Green)
Black StazOn ink
Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon
Blender Pen
Gumball Green, Real Red and Pool Party Stampin' Write Markers
2 1/2" Circle Punch
Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L*
*I used the paper piercing tool to poke out the little pieces of the doily.*

Don't whine, I have more Christmas in July cards coming tomorrow!

Tape It Tree for Christmas in July

Tape It Christmas Tree

It's very rare that I come with with a creative idea all on my own... but for this one, I did.  I am not sure whether it will be a popular idea, but it's an idea nontheless!  Yes, that's a Christmas Tree and I love it!  I used the Tape It stamp set, inked it up in Garden Green and stamped it to look like a tree.  I think added some Epic Day This and That Washi tape to look like the trunk of the tree.
This is one of my swaps with other SU demonstrators, how do you like it?  Comment below if you think it looks more like a Charlie Brown tree, or a fun tree!  :)

Supplies:

Tape It Stamp Set #130715/ $18.95
Greetings of the Season #128033/ $11.95
Real Red #126949 and Garden Green #126973 Ink ($6.95 each)

My Paper Pumpkin Starter Kit with extras... Sign up now!

Paper Pumpkin Rocks!

During the month of July you are going to see consistent posts, however, they are shorter than normal.  Some will NOT have a list of supplies.  Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need a list of specific supplies - I won't mind.  I just don't have time to post them all ahead of time!

Last weekend I had my first Paper Pumpkin class.  This is a monthly subscription of paper crafting projects brought to you by Stampin' Up!  I am holding a monthly free class where we will assemble the projects and complete an extra so you can see how versatile the products really can be!
This is the card that was the created using the example from the kit.  We will always make one of these cards.  The other 3 are variations that I case'd from pinterest.

See you tomorrow for more stampin' inspiration!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Independence Day!

One of the things my class this past year loved was history.  It was my PLEASURE to teach them all sorts of things, including why we call it Independence Day!  I have made it my goal to call it that going forward.  It's not just the Fourth of July but the day our country was free!

Before you look down at the picture, here is one warning: it's not all Stampin' Up (but everything else is)!  I am sorry!  Long story short, I didn't own the Simply Stars set we sell, prior to making this card.  As you can tell, the "A" is backwards... but in papercrafting I like to say those little "mistakes" add character.  :)  Plus this card really isn't being sent to anyone, I plan to frame it and put it in my stamp room!
Colors: Real Red, Night of Navy and Pool Party
Alphabet Dies and Stripes Embossing Folder

Enjoy your day off with fireworks, hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad and apple pie - I will miss it!

Simply Sketched Trio

Simply Sketched Hostess Set

Today's stamp set uses a stamp set you can only get by hosting a party or class with purchases totaling $150 (or purchasing enough products yourself to reach this hostess level).  Using your "hostess dollars" this set is only $10 (which means you will still have $15 left to spend as you chose)!  Let me know if you'd like more information about this great opportunity!  I have some dates open before I go back to work in August!
We will be making this card at my Aunt's class next week!

We are making the top card, although I do plan to switch the So Safron and Rose Red.  I feel like a sympathy card shouldn't have so much Rose Red, but I also feel like they shouldn't be all dark either.  While I was creating the top card, I whipped up the bottom two cards to show how versatile this stamp set can be...
In the card on the right I outline the flower image using my Rose Red Stampin' Write Marker.  I did not do that for the card on the left, I just colored it using a blender pen and ink.

Supplies:

So Safron, Rose Red, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla Card Stock
Simply Sketched Hostess Stamp Set
Crumb Cake, Rose Red and Old Olive ink
Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder

Come back tomorrow for some Red, White and Blue inspiration!

All Dressed Up.... in 10 minutes!

We made this card in my 4 "Simple Cards" class last week.  If you'd like to join us in August, let me know!  We are meeting on August 1st at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Wesley Chapel, Florida.  Can you get dressed up in 10 minutes?  I can!  Of course I need the Dress Up Framelits (#130101/ $24.95) to help me out with this task!
This card literally took me less than 10 minutes!  I needed a new version of a card I had made for a class preview... I accidently forgot to order one of the items used in that card.  So... I changed up the dress "fabric" and used paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks (Melon Mambo) and added the dress stand in Basic Gray.  The mini flower is from the "Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack" found on page 180 of the Catalog (#118309/ #16.95 for three small punches).

Supplies:

Whisper White Card Stock
Brights DSP Stack
Melon Mambo Ink
Basic Gray Card Stock
Bring on the Cake Stamp Set
Dress Up Framelits
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (flower)
Rhinestones
Glue Dots and Snail Adhesive

Take some time today to make a card or be creative!

Chalk Talk Framelit for a Man!

Happy July!

Wow this year is really flying!  It's July already!  I made this card with a man in mind - not any specific man, just need some manly card examples and this is another example of CAS (clean and simple)!
I love that paint splatter that came in the first month of Paper Pumpkin!  I used the Chalk Talk Framelits to make the tag and stamped the hand (from the "Bring on the Cake" stamp set) using Island Indigo ink.  I love the "Bring on the Cake" set because it includes 13 stamps, there is something for everyone!  It is featured on page 14 of the Annual Catalog - leave me a comment if you need a copy!

Supplies:

Bring on the Cake Stamp Set #121958/ $27.95
"Paint Splatter" stamp from starter set My Paper Pumpkin
Crumb Cake #120953 and Summer Starfruit #126839 Card Stock $6.95 per pack
