Quick and Easy Cards with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Today is a quick and easy card - you can check out mine and then click on the above link to take you to our Design Team blog to see all of the others!

I love the Tape It stamp set that Stampin' Up! has in our annual catalog and it's featured in my post today.  It's not perfect and I think that's my favorite part!  Your cards do not have to be perfect.  They are homemade with love.  Plus, it really looks like "tape" when it's not perfect!
Do you love the word bubbles too?  Those are from a bundle called "Just Sayin'"!  It's a great stamp set for stamping and scrapbooking alike.  I used two of the retiring in colors for this year, Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals.  They are paired with Old Olive - and added those cute little candy dots again (I think they are officially my favorite now since I rarely use buttons anymore).  I will be using these colors a lot over the next two months as they are retiring at the end of May.

Sale-a-Bration ENDS today!  Don't miss out on the exclusive free items with every $50 purchase!!!!!  Make sure to either order online ASAP or email me your order by 6pm.  I will be ordering TONIGHT!  Make sure to ask me for the hostess code before you submit your online order!  :)

Thank you for being my customer!

Friday Favorites with SSI and Fab Friday #38 Color Challenge

This week I have two posts for you... both Design Teams I am on: Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and Fab Friday.  I am way behind this week and didn't get the Fab Friday post done.  I will try to get it done soon.
But I do have a card for SSInk - using my favorite Designer Series Paper.  Click on the Design Team Link above to see all of the other Design Team Member Projects.
Eastern Elegance is so pretty!  It includes two of my currently most used colors: Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate.  This card was used by Marc's mom as a Sympathy card.  I felt like the embossed image was enough on the front side - perfect notecard.

Go check out the color challenge at Fab Friday and participate over there!

Easter Daffodil Treat Tutorial

Easter Daffodil Treat
Do you have people in your life who you like to give treats to for holidays?  I am thinking the post office workers, hair stylist, bankers, teachers, etc... Wouldn't these be perfect for those people?

I am creative, but lately I haven't had the "mojo" to create my own projects.  So, in the creating world we CASE.  Copy and Share Everything.  This is a CASE from another demonstrator - across the borders non-the-less!

The tag "wrap" is simple:
1.  Cut a piece of card stock measuring 2" by 8".
2.  Punch both ends of the "tag" with the Scalloped Tag Punch.
3.  Score at 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 on the long side.
4.  Emboss using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder. Line up in one of the ends (hint: make sure when you put it in-between the two plastic Big Shot plates that it doesn't move).
5.  Punch out the oval center using the Large Oval Punch.
6.  Adhere a small bag of candy (I cut down and used the bags used for pretzel pops) using Sticky Strip.
7. Close "wrap" and tie with ribbon.  Decorate as desired.
I filled them with foil covered Hershey's and jelly beans.  I have a lot more to make and they will be in various colors - not just Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi.  The embossed oval frame works perfect and then I punched out the center using my large oval punch!  Love it!
Here is a close up of the flower.  I used the Petite Petals Punch and Stamp to create the larger flower.  The center of the Daffodil comes from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (four-leafed flower).  How cute is that?

Happy Birthday with Wish Big and Create a Cupcake

New Stampin' Supplies Alert!
It's always so exciting when I get my new Stampin' Up! supplies from the man in brown (or the UPS man).  "Wish Big" is one of birthday stamp sets in the Occasions catalog.  It wasn't my first pick but this sentiment is starting to grow on me.  I saw this color combination this week and I knew I had to make some cards using Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.

I used the On Film Framelits to create the frame.  I added the Coastal Cabana ruffle trim to make it look super cute!  Who doesn't want a little cake for their birthday?  Cupcake day is my favorite day at school (aka: one of my students' birthday).  Don't forget the Gingham Garden Washi Tape that I added to the top of the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper.

Tomorrow I have a fun Easter treat for you with a quick tutorial!  See you then!  Thanks for following me!

Sympathy Cards with Stampin' Stylin' INKspiration

Today's card is one we made in my last class.  I love the Hello, Doily stamp which is what I used for the focal point of this card.  I used Marina Mist and embossed the image.  I used the Petite Petals punch to add a flower to the center of the doily.  Adding candy dot to the center of the flower gave it that perfect center.
I used the Best of "Sentiments" stamp set for the sentiment.  Did you know that you can only order those stamp sets for one more week? They won't be available after March 31st.

Thanks for being my follower and click on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration logo to go check out the other Sympathy cards!

Masculine Monday

Good Morning!  Today we have all thing man going on over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  Click on the link above to check out all of the cool cards everyone made.  I was quite wow'ed by all of them!
The stamp set I featured is called "By the Tide".  I absolutely love the new frame from the On Film Framelits - if  you can't tell, that's what I used to frame this "picture".

Thanks for following me!  If you are in Tampa, please make sure to RSVP for my workshop on Friday!  We will be at my mom's house from 7-9pm with wine, cheese and mini cheesecakes, as well as stamping two projects!  Come join us for the fun!  See you back here for more stamping tomorrow!

Create a Flower with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

I made this card using the Bug Me stamp set that I have been featuring recently on my blog (type in the stamp set name into my search box).  I use the Stamp-a-ma-jig with this stamp set to get everything aligned perfectly and find that the wood mount is easier to use with that tool, so the number listed is for the wood-mount.  The petals from the flowers are actually the wings for the butterflies.
I lined the envelope using the coordinating Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper.  Are you loving that "thinking of you" stamp?  It's from the Kind & Cozy Stamp Set (which is part of the Garden Delight Suite of products.   I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi for the ink colors.

Check out the list of supplies below (card stock and ink colors are listed above).  Thanks for following my blog and I will see you tomorrow!

Watercolor Wednesday with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Today is Watercolor Wednesday!  I have a pretty simple card that requires only punches, one stamp set, one ink and the Watercolor Wonder Note Cards and Designer Series Paper.  It is so simple you won't know what to do with all the extra time.  Okay, maybe you can make more cards using the same supplies.  Even better, order the supplies to make 20 notecards and get a FREE Sale-a-bration item.  Sale-a-bration ends on March 31st!  Order now!
This is one of the cards we will be making at my Workshop on March 28 from 7-9pm.  Are you interested in attending?  Email me at to RSVP!

See you tomorrow for a fun flowers post.  Come check out my different idea using a non-flower stamp to make flowers!
