Blendabilities with SSInk

Blendabilities are my favorite markers!  Don't you just love them?  If you haven't tried them, you should get a set and try them out!  I used the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler sets.
Do you like the center bead thing?  I can't think of anything else to call it but "bead thing"!  It's actually a hot glue blob that I colored with the Cherry Cobbler Blendability marker!  The Christmas Bauble was so fun to color and then was super easy to fussy cut out!

Do you love the color combination?  It's Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe!  Alright.... see you tomorrow, right now I am off to work to prep for my formal observation by the peer.  Fun times!

Masculine Monday with SSInk

It's Monday... boo!  I get observed tomorrow (yes, already) by the "peer" which is basically another teacher who has been "trained" to observe teachers.  In my opinion, the process stinks because mostly they give you opinions about your teaching and classroom; yet they know nothing about you, your students, etc... and to make matter worse it's only the 6th week of school.  Whatever, it is what it is.  I had a migraine all day yesterday and that is probably why.  Once it's over I can focus on my week-long vacation.

Today is a Masculine Monday and I have a "manly" card for you!  I made this card thinking of fall and truly it can be used for anyone but the colors do remind me of a man!  I used my Lovely as a Tree set and watercolor paper.  I enjoyed painting although I wasn't sure how it looked, it's growing on me!

This is truly one of those cards you have no idea what you are making in your mind... I just kept going with it (usually those cards don't make it to the blog).  I did know I wanted a smaller card to make!  I couldn't figure out where to put the sentiment and then I realized I didn't have to put it anywhere specific.  Then I added the Cajun Craze Candy Dots and I thought it looked perfect!
The envelope was fun to make using the Envelope Punch Board - again in Cajun Craze.  I love the two punch boards and really need to use them both more!

See you tomorrow for more stampin' inkspiration!  Thanks for following me!

Fab Friday #51

It's a Fab Friday...
...and that it is!  Who doesn't love Friday's?  I am sure there are people who don't love it but I do!  It means I have the next two days off... and it means a week from today I will be driving to Miami to get on a cruise ship the next day!  I can't wait for our vacation!  Although I love my job and my life... I am very excited to have someone else cook, plan my day and really just be pampered.  Ironic... I was starting to do the lesson plans for my week off and I made my student's homework sheet - one of their spelling words is "cruise".  They can think of me while I am on my cruise!

Anyway, we have a sketch over at Fab Friday and I am in love with it!  I can totally see myself using this sketch for a Christmas related card.  I decided to do fall because the fall "time window" will go fast!  As I was telling Justin Krieger the other day, I LOVE fall!  I am sure you know that about me, but this Michigan girl LOVES FALL!  Wait, let me say it again, I love fall.  Okay, now you totally get my love.  But in Florida, there isn't a fall like up north.  So I must create lots of cards to remind me of fall days in Michigan!
I really love how the card came out... and it totally reminds me of fall with the acorn and crumpled leaves (don't you just love the wood elements that I used?).  Cajun Craze is the ink color that I used for the flag along with Mossy Meadow (background) and Crushed Curry (leaves).  The sentiment is from the "For All Things" stamp set... it's hard to tell but the background of the sentiment is also a stamp from the set!
The top version is my final version... although I really like the version below (a bit different).  Sorry for the messy background in the picture but I wanted you to see what the other version looked like!  The banners are from the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper pack.

I hope you enjoyed my post... I will be back later with another post for Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!

Christmas Cards with SSInk

Christmas Cards with SSInk
I know it's super early but I find the earlier I get started, the more cards I actually send out come December!  Maybe I should start writing them out as well?!  We made this card at my catalog launch at the end of August.  I love the Nordic Noel Designer Series Paper and it just so happens to work perfectly with the trees!
Sorry this post is so short... I have a sinus issue going on and I had a long day at work!  Thanks for following me!

This is a special post for me today because all of these cards were made by my customers.  Some of the products used were not Stampin' Up! but that is just fine with me.  Card making is supposed to be fun and it doesn't matter to me where the products come from!

Step One: Cut a piece of card stock 2" by 7 1/2".  Punch each end using one of the tag topper punches.
Step Two: Score each end at 3".
Step Three: Decorate, adhere candy using some snail, fold up and tie with ribbon.  It's that simple!

Fab Friday 50th Anniversary

Fab Friday #50
It's our golden anniversary post over at Fab Friday!  This works perfect because my parent's just celebrated 50 years of marriage in August!
Here is the card I made for my parents!  When I was first thinking about this challenge, I was a little thrown off... just gold and white?!  LOL But then I realized I could do a card for my mom and dad!
Thanks so much for checking out my post!  Happy 50th Anniversary to my parents!  So proud of them for staying together despite all the ups and downs!  What a great example Marc and I have with both sets of our parents.  We are blessed!

SSInk Blog Hop: All Things Fall

Welcome to our Monthly Blog Hop!
I am so happy that cooler weather is going to be coming (albeit much later than everyone else, it's still in the 90's in Tampa)!  With the cooler temps comes fall... which means Fall Cards!  I am so excited to share my projects with you today!!  We will be making the "treat" in my "Fall Treats" class on September 27th!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Darcy at Dj's Stampin' Place. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
For my first project I made a card and used the new Wood Elements.  I love these elements as they match the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper perfectly!  This "For All Things" stamp set is the perfect pairing for the fall season!
Are you wondering where I got this cute container?  The Gift Card Enclosure Pack comes in a pack of 10 enclosures!  Add 3 score lines and you have an awesome little box to put candy, gum, a gift card, anything really!  That in-color ribbon (in Mossy Meadow) is my favorite ribbon to play with... make sure you order some ASAP!

The tag features the Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape.  I love the patterns and the Blackberry Bliss is simply beautiful!

I hope you enjoy my projects and hop along to the next fall related project over at Jennifer's Happy 2 Scrap 4 Life page!  Click on the button to go there and thanks so much for hopping with us!
