Quick and Easy with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration - Wetlands

Good Morning and welcome to my post for Quick and Easy Cards!  I made these cards as a part of an online class I took (thanks Maggie).  I changed them up slightly so I wanted to make sure to give the original designer credit!
I absolutely love the Wetlands stamp set - which totally surprises me!  I love how these 3 cards coordinate and use several of the images from the stamp set.  This is a great set of male cards!  Check out each card for a short list of colors and specific supplies.  Please note: all cards use Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Crushed Curry (the left card doesn't use curry but instead pool party ink).

Tools: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, sponges and Neutrals Candy Dots
Tools: Hardwood Background Stamp, twine, and a clear block
Technique: Ink up a clear block and stamp on Whisper White.  Then punch with card (this is what makes the background look like water).
The little strip of the High Tide DSP.  Add the stamped image, the candy dots in Neutrals and viola!  Easy peasy!

Grab your favorite stamp set and whip up these cards in less than an hour!  See you tomorrow for more inspiration!  Thanks for following me!

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Masculine Monday

We are focusing on projects for Men... here is mine:
I am in a rush going to work and then driving to Orlando for the big Catalog Premier for Stampin' Up!  I took this idea from a training I did with Ronda Wade and Maggie Peterson over the weekend!  I love the look of the little port hole.  I added the "sea life" behind it.  Who doesn't love that woodgrain embossing folder?

See you tomorrow for my individual post over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!

Fab Friday #40

Hello there friends...
I know it's been awhile and for that, I am sorry.  Hopefully I have found my mojo and can have some fun stamping!  This week we have a color challenge over at Fab Friday and I immediately knew what I was going to make when I saw the colors!  Can you believe I made this card two weeks ago?!  I know, totally ahead of the game!
As you may know, Summer Starfruit is retiring (boo!) and so we are using it while we can since it doesn't leave us until June 4 (better get those retiring items ASAP as they are all while supplies last).  I pulled out this set because (in my head) I thought it was perfect for this challenge.
I used two sets, one of which is retiring (and I am so sad because I love this set) - From My Heart (#126557/ $28.95) and matching Labels Collection Framelits (#125598/ $26.95) and the retiring Background Builders (#129147/ $22.95).  If you love the Designer Series Paper it's from the Soho Subway pack - which is also while supplies last!

I made sure to rough up the edges of both the DSP and the edge of the card.  I cannot live without the tool to do this with.  Wait... did you know there is a tool to rough up the edges?  Well now you do!  It's called the Stampin' Distress Tool and it's only $4.95!!!  Use #127562 when ordering it in the online store!

OMG, I almost forgot to tell you!  Until 11:59pm TONIGHT, you get Free Shipping!  Yes, you read that correctly, free shipping until tonight only.  Don't delay.  Click on the "Shop Now" button and go fill up your cart with the essentials that you need, the retiring stamp sets you can't live without and anything else you want a 10% savings on!

Thanks for being one of the most amazing customers!

All About Kids Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop

Welcome to the April Blog Hop!
We are featuring projects for kids... all kids - from babies to teens!  Being a teacher, I am surrounded by kids all day long, and I LOVE it.  I love everything kids.  Their laughter... their ability to focus on the fun in life...their lack of experience... their ability to see the BEST in EVERYTHING.  My favorite age was 6 years old... why?  Because I knew nothing more than barbies, love and how much fun it was to eat an ice cream in the sun.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 11 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Diana at Stampin' Fun with Diana. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
I made this first card for my friend Ami who is pregnant.  She asked me to make a card to give the doctor to put the picture of the baby into.  They gave the card to a store to make a box of balloons for the big reveal.  Their 2 year old son opened the box to reveal what I thought it would be!  Leave a comment to post your guess... I will post the answer Friday!
This second card is one I featured in a class two weeks ago.  I love that little superhero dog!  I have a special 5th grader I plan on giving this card to... one of the young ladies that I tutor!  She has a dog so I know she will love this card.

Easter Projects with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Easter is on it's way soon and I have two cards using the Watercolor Wonder Notecards and the Blessed Easter Individual Stamp.  I love the tulips - reminds me of a Michigan spring day!
I stamped both cards in Black Staz-on ink so I could color the top image in using ink and a blender pen.  The bottom image is colored in using an image from the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set.  You can get all of the supplies in my online store!  Go check them out!
Tomorrow is our blog hop!  Come back to check out the exciting projects we have for you!  See you then!

Wetlands Technique Tuesday

Wetlands Technique Tuesday
I honestly never thought I'd buy this stamp because honestly, I never thought I'd have the creativity to work with it!  Well, I was WRONG!  This stamp set is amazing and I really think my customers love it!  You are probably wondering HOW I did the background paper?  I have an easy answer: sponging.  Brandy Cox has a great video tutorial over on her page located here.  Sponging is SO much fun and actually therapy!

As far as doing the piece with the family of birds... I used a masking technique.  I actually covered up the part I wasn't sponging to do the blue water... then I pulled off the piece of typing paper and blended it down (to give them faded out look).  Then I covered the blue/ white up and added the Sahara Sand to make sand.  If you want Brandy's video, it helps you out!
This is a direct CASE from Brandy's card.  I wanted to show both versions.  Do you LOVE the stamp set?  Click the image toward the bottom of this post to take you directly to the store.  Believe me, you NEED this set (with the sponges and blender pens).  Let me know if I can help you in ordering anything, or answering any questions about the Sponging technique!

Color Challenge with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Good Morning!  We have a Color Challenge over at SSInk!  Sorry, not a lot of talking today, I didn't save my post last night!
Here is the card I came up with... if you LOVE that image, you better get it while it's here!  It's called Tag It and it coordinates with the Chalk Talk Framelits!  Bonus: Did you know that a portion of the proceeds from this stamp set sales get donated to Ronald McDonald House?!  How awesome is that?!
See you tomorrow for a Two for Tuesday!  Technique and two cards!  Woohoo!

Sunflower Quick Card

"Well Hello..."
My grandma Steckman used to say that when she walked into our house.  I should make a stamp that says that!  Anyway, today's card reminded me of spring - which is perfect for all of the northerners!
During SAB I received a lot of extra hostess benefits which means I picked out some of the stamps on my "Wish List".  This stamp is so easy to use!  I inked it up with Crushed Curry and then when in with my Baked Brown Sugar marker and randomly colored the edges of the leaves and coloring the center of the flower.  Layered it on the same color card stock, added a banner with candy dots and viola!  Quick card!

Thanks for following me and being my customer!

Technique Ombre with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration

Ombre?
You may be asking yourself, what is ombre?  That's okay, I asked myself the same thing!  According to what I have learned, it's shades of the same color.  So, in the case of my card, I used shades of purple of course.  Would you expect anything else?  I used Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum.
I have a lot to do and have conferences tonight, will be in Orlando all day Friday for meetings and then having dinner with friends from "home" (Michigan) in Orlando for dinner.  And then... a quick class on Saturday.  Oh yes, if you have been wanting to join us for a class but Sunday afternoons don't work, we are meeting this Saturday at 10am!  Come make 5 projects for $15 or a minimum purchase!  Email me if you'd like to join us!

"Open Sea" and "World Map" for a Man

Happy April!
I am sorry if this card is a little blurry... it happens!  I got this layout from Ronda Wade (I love that lady!!).  I modified it for a class I had last week.  This card is made using Night of Navy, Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake.  I stamped the background with the World Map stamp and then used the Open Sea stamp set for the rest of the elements.
Do you like the sentiment?  It comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
