Friday Favorites with SSInk and Fab Friday Sketch Challenge

Good Morning!  This card uses Corner Garden, one of my favorite stamps!  It's a single stamp, so no, I didn't stamp all of those flowers individually.  Do you really think I have that much patience?  LOL  I did color all of the flowers though... and it was EASY!  I love the new Blendabilities Markers.  They make coloring fun!
And here is the sketch for Fab Friday... I had a migraine last night and I still have it this morning.  I will make my card today and post later!  Sorry!

Coming soon!

2 cards: one basic, one stepped up with SSInk for the Holiday Catalog Release

Quick post to kick off the new Holiday Catalog being released TODAY!  Woohoo!  Today is also my Holiday catalog kick-off!  I am so excited to share the catalog with some of my customers and friends!  You are all going to LOVE what Stampin' Up! is bringing to you!

I used the most of the same supplies but made the card two ways (the second way is stepped up a bit)!  I wanted to show you that you can step up projects with only a few extra supplies!
Here's the stepped up version:

Masculine Monday with SSInkspiration with Blue Ribbon

It's Masculine Monday over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and I love trying to create masculine cards!  I made this for a Birthday Class last month and everyone loved it!  The main image is stamped in Night of Navy and the sentiment is stamped in Real Red and punched out with the circle punch.
The striped paper is from the Maritime Designer Series Paper pack.  I absolutely love this paper pack!  I cut a 1.5" thick strip and added behind the ribbon.

I hope you like this easy card... come back tomorrow for an adorable card from one of my CUSTOMERS!  I am so excited to share her card!  Thanks for following me!  PS: Don't forget to click on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration link at the top of the post to go check out all of the other designer's cards!

Here's a bonus using the Freshly Made Sketch:
Sometimes I use sketches in my work... this sketch helped to to design this card using new products!  We will be making this card on Thursday night at my catalog launch!  The colors are Garden Green, Real Red and Calypso Coral.  I used the Nordic Noel Christmas Paper
Thanks for checking out my blog!  See you tomorrow!

One Stamp Set, Several Ways with SSInk using Amazing Birthday

I tried something new with this card... I made the background using my brayer and ink!  I rolled Crushed Curry, Cajun Craz and Tangelo Twist onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  I used the new star border punch to punch the side of the paper.  Then I stamped the main image with Crushed Curry and Tangelo Twist and popped them up!
I love the star paper clip and I especially love the brushed gold color!  This post is quick... I have a lot of prep to do for a crop I am working at Saturday afternoon and lots more to do for school!
I wanted to make sure you could see the main image!  I LOVE this stamp set and it wasn't my first choice in the new catalog, but I am not sure why!  Love it!  Go get Amazing Birthday if you haven't already!  Thanks for following me!

Project Life by Stampin' Up! using Seasonal Snapshot

Project Life by Stampin' Up!
I am seriously in love with how easy Project Life by Stampin' Up! is for me!  I have actually gotten memory keeping done and those memories written down... my goal is to complete one layout per week and this week I did Halloween from last year!  I used Seasonal Snapshot again as this kit covers all of the fall holidays.
Do you love the "Scare Up Some Fun" in the center over our carved pumpkins?  It's part of the "Accessory Kit" for the Seasonal Snapshot kit.  I love it!  There is a clear acetate sheet "layover" for each of the seasons - pretty cool!
The "card" in the top right corner is made by yours truly!  I used Sahara Sand Card Stock and ink.  I stamped the dots using the "Draw the Line" stamp set!  I really love the little plastic dot stickers as well (middle row, far right).  I also stamped some arrows from Point and click on that same card and "Life is Good" from the Remember This stamp set.

Thanks for following me!  See you tomorrow for a fun post using only one stamp set!

Quick and Easy with SSInk

For being a flat card, this card uses 3 different stamp sets: Watercolor Thank You, Gorgeous Grunge and Work of Art.  I am beat and need to get to bed for my second day with my 5th graders.  Wondering how the first day went? GREAT!  :)  Already had lots of laughs and enjoyed getting to know them!
See you tomorrow for some Project Life inspiration!

Two-Step Stamping with SSInkspiration

Two-Step Stamping with SSInk... click on the link below to see the other designers' creations!
Today is my "first day" with students... and although it's really exciting, it's also a long day!  I have to learn 22 names (and really 44 total since I switch with another teacher for 2 hours a day)... my strong point is not learning names!  If you have any ways to remember names, leave a comment and help me out!  I usually try to relate their name to something, ie: Hannah Banana.
The challenge was to make a project using two-step stamping.  You might be wondering what two-step stamping entails?  Do you see the pink flowers?  That is two-stamps!  I stamped the large one and then stamped the smaller one inside.  It's so easy with Stampin' Up!'s photopolymer stamp sets.  They are completely clear so you can see through them to be able to see exactly where you are stamping!

You may be wondering what color of ink I used to get those two pinks?  It's Strawberry Slush - for the larger flower, I stamped it "off" onto scrap paper and then stamped on the Whisper White.  That's how I got the lighter shade.  For the smaller flower I just stamped it into the large flower!  Easy peasy!

My new favorite sentiment comes from a 15% Big Shot Bundle!  It's the Deco Labels Framelits and Oh My Goodies Stamp Set.  That sentiment is perfect for teachers as well.  Make sure to go to my online store and get the bundle before the end of the month at 15% off!

Send me some prayers and good thoughts for my first day back to teaching 5th grade!  Thanks for picking me as your demonstrator!

Tee-Hee-Hee For Freshly Made Sketches #149

Halloween is coming...
Although Halloween was never my favorite holiday, it is for making cards.  I just LOVE the colors together and the "fun" things we can create.  I needed to just create for "fun" to get my mind off of school (which starts tomorrow)!  I am not sure I am ready to go back to school but I better be - I will have 22 new 5th graders tomorrow (and my co-teacher has 22, so technically I have 44)!

Anyway, this new stamp set, called Tee-Hee-Hee (coming August 28th) was my "I have to OWN that" stamp set in the Holiday Catalog!  I used the new Freshly Made Sketch for my design...
When I was trying to think of a card to make, I realized it was NOT that easy!  This set has lots of little elements, which means tons of options!  I can't wait for you to see the set!
I used Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango and the Memento Ink for this card.  That new twine is absolutely delicious!  I love how thick it is and the duo of colors is really adorable!
Do you love the silver bat on the cauldron?  Marc's idea... and it's embossed using the silver metallic ink pad and clear embossing powder.  The glitter was his idea too! :)
I love shoes and I can't wait to make a few more of these cards for friends!  In the picture above you can see the inside of the card (left) and the front of the envelope!
Let's not forget to line our envelopes - the new Designer Series Paper Motley Monsters will help me with that!  I love those strips!

Two for Friday: CASE the Catalog with SSInkspiration

Today we are CASE'ing the catalog!
It's FRIDAY!  YAY!  I am so tired... my first week back at school has been extra tiring because I am NEW to the school.  Yes, I have been teaching forever (this is my 11th year teaching in FL) but I have to learn the new school's ways (believe it or not, EVERY school is VERY different).  Plus I get to unpack, organize and set up my new classroom.  I am pretty much done setting up so now I can focus on planning my first week and setting up my classroom library.  Looking forward to some extra sleep this weekend!

Today I case'd my card directly from the catalog and we made it in class.  It was super easy and I did need to measure to make sure my banner was perfect (nothing a pencil and ruler couldn't help with!).  The colors are Crumb Cake, Pistachio Pudding and Chocolate Chip.  The original design is on page 130 in the Annual catalog.
Normally I'd create a supply list but honestly, I didn't use many things other than what is listed.  One of the things I did use was the NEW 1/8" Handheld Punch!  It's new this year and I had originally missed it.  I saw it on Heidi Boos' swap card at convention (check out yesterday's blog hop posted on my blog to see her card) and I wondered, "Where is that from?"  I checked it out and finally found them (1/4", 1/8" and 1/16" Handheld punches) on the BOTTOM of page 223.  I had passed over it so many times, probably thinking it was directions and not an item.  LOL So, if you missed these amazing tools like I did, go order them now!  :)

Have a great day and you might see me this weekend for some more INKspiration!

Blog Hop with SSInk featuring Swap Cards

Welcome to this month's Blog Hop!
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 11 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Heidi at Stuck on Stampin'. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

As you know, I attended convention last month and I participated in a "swap" with the designers from Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  Basically, we all created 14 of the same card and then "traded" at convention one morning before general session.  So fun!

If you came from Heidi's page you saw here super cute card!  If not, go check it out!  I just love it and can't wait to re-create in class with my customers!  I know they are going to LOVE it!  Without further chatter, let me show off my swap card!
I used to two different stamp sets for this card: Fabulous Four and Peace, Love and Cupcakes.  I just love the heart and matching Sweetheart Punch.  Do you LOVE the background?  That's the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask!  The hearts look so pretty in the Coastal Cabana ink.  The Strawberry Slush flower is made using adhering two flowers together from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Because I am back at school and working a lot - there isn't a supply list today (sorry!).  But... there's tons in INKspiration to draw from.  Click on the "next" button to check out Darla's creation!
