Good Morning (or afternoon if you were up late last night)! I have been excited to share this card with you for awhile. It's Marc's birthday card! I saw some other cards online similar to this one for months and had it stored in the back of my mind to make for him. Marc's birthday typically falls during my last week of school, which equals insanely busy. I made this card one morning early (read= 5am) before work. He loved it and I loved how the elements came together.
Most of you are probably wondering how to get that pole - it's a skewer from the kitchen. I cut it using my heavy duty scissors to make it the size I needed. I did use some thick twine in a retired color, but you can use one of the other colors now available (Smokey Slate?). I used a favorite set of mine called By the Tide. It's perfect for Florida and summer! I stamped the fish and fussy cut them out to attach to the pole. Marc made a joke about two fish on one pole. LOL What do I know? I'm not a fisherman!
This is the inside of the card... I wanted to carry over the beach them from the front. I just love how the inside turned out. Remind me of being at the beach! I used a sponge and added Island Indigo to the edges to really give the water feel. Check out the supplies below and let me know if you have questions.
