"You've Got This" Background

How was your holiday weekend?  Travel?  BBQ?  Beach?  Or did you work and avoid all of the craziness?  I remember my days of retail working (I was a manager for Bath and Body Works prior to becoming a teacher) - I always had to work the holidays!  Now, as a teacher, I get the holidays off and am able to enjoy them.  We had fun in Key West with family.  Nothing like a fresh Grouper sandwich watching the sun set in the most southern point of the USA!
Marc's mom took these beautiful pictures at dinner.  Isn't it purely beautiful?
This is after the sunset... I would love to see this every night!
This is Marc and I downtown Key West (it was 95 degrees and I forgot sunblock).  We walked around for 3 hours straight.  Needless to say my cheeks were quite red and I was a sweaty, gross mess.  That's what happens when you live in Florida!  Anyway, hope you enjoyed seeing a little of our weekend!

For my creation today I used the new "You've Got This" stamp set.  At first glance you might wonder what Designer Series Paper I used in the background. but I didn't!  I inked up the top portion of the flower (no stem) and stamped all over a piece of white card stock.  I didn't worry if they overlapped.  I wanted the random look.  Do you like it?
As you can see from the list below, I only used two colors: Cucumber Crush and Smoky Slate.  I wanted you to see how EASY it is to create beautiful but simple cards!  I used a small snip of the new Dotted Lace ribbon tied into a loose know and added it to the stem with a glue dot.

I'd love to see your creations using the technique of creating your own DSP.  Email me your pictures and I will feature them in an upcoming post soon (or post it in my facebook group)!  Thanks for following me and see you tomorrow!
