Basket Full of Flowers using Beautiful Bunch and Butterfly Basics

It's Wednesday!!!
TESTING IS DONE!  Finally I can get back to teaching!  Speaking of which, I am on my way to work soon so I need to make this a quick post!
I made this card after Arnie got ahold of the basket I had made. Of course I didn't want to waste the elements I used so I cut them off and used them for a card!  I used the Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set to make the flowers, the bird punch for the leaves, Berry Basket Die for the basket and then Butterfly Basics stamp set with matching Butterfly Thinlits.  Lots of elements!!

Come back tomorrow for more inspiration and thanks for following me!

Technique Tuesday using Sheltering Tree

Technique Tuesday...
I had a great weekend spending some quality time with Marc and my parents!  I had a class on Saturday and I will share pictures of the projects tomorrow!  We went to Tarpon Springs friday night for some yummy greek food and then went to the beach in Clearwater (and got some italian ice).  Wonderful date night!  Yesterday we went to Honeymoon Island, it was beautiful but very overcast and the water was really choppy.  We ended the weekend with a steak, baked potato, peas, carmelized onions and garlic bread.  I have to say, that's one of my favorite meals!
This card isn't the typical size card - I had to make it bigger to accommodate the larger size oval (in Wisteria Wonder).  I used a Very Vanilla base with coordinating Satin Ribbon.  The polka dot paper comes from the 2013-2015 In-colors paper stack (Pistachio Pudding).
Do you love the flowers on the tree?  It reminds me of a lilac tree that was outside my window when I was a kid.  I loved cutting the lilacs and putting them in a vase in my bedroom.  Are you wondering how I made the so life-like?  I used something that Stampin' Up! does not sell (this is very rare for me because I love their products!).  It's called "Flower Soft" and it's so easy to use.  You add the special glue and then sprinkle on the flower soft.  I patted it down and dumped off the excess.  Super easy and what a beautiful end result!

See you tomorrow with the projects from my Sale-a-bration Celebration!

April Paper Pumpkin.. Gift Card Holders

Paper Pumpkin...
My subscription arrived on Tuesday.  I looked at the cute little cards and wondered how I would use them (there are also "mom" and "dad" stamps.  I needed 5 gift card holders yesterday morning before work and I realized I could use this month's project!
I changed up the actual design to work for my needs.  Instead of the bow that comes with the kit, I used the Petal Potpourri Stamp Set and coordinating punch to create a pretty centerpiece.
I also used the In-Color Clothespins that are now on clearance instead of the twine that came with the kit!  I wanted the Secretaries to be able to hang their cute note on their desk.
This is the front of the card - perfectly coordinating with the project!
And finally the inside.... my co-teacher realized we could type up a list of names instead of trying to fit them on the cards.  GREAT idea!  So much easier than passing around 5 cards to 12 people to sign!  I used a glue dot to attach the gift card (which by the way, is a new"er" pub by my school that has delicious food and drinks).

Thanks for following me!

Sheltering Tree "Thinking of You"

Another day of testing...
That's right, testing is back.  Today and tomorrow we take the FSA in Math.  It shall be a fun day watching 10/11 year olds do Math problems that are (in my opinion) developmentally WAY above their head.  Yes, some will succeed.  But others will get frustrated and it will affect their entire test.  Off my soapbox.

I case'd this design from Dawn Griffith.  She made a video for this card which was her monthly card a few months ago.  I used Pear Pizzaz and really LOVED how spring/ summer it looks!  This is true Florida right here!  The card is 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 with the matting cut smaller.
Tonight I need to make some Gift Card Holders for our team of Secretaries... tomorrow is my team's day.  So come back to see what I come up with for those special ladies!

Thanks for following me... see you tomorrow!

RETIRING LIST has been released... Too Kind and the Dictionary Background with a Tutorial

It's a sad day...
when the retired list comes out!  But, the positive side is that there are TONS of items on sale and new stuff is coming soon!  I made this card for my chemo angel and made a little picture tutorial for you.  I am sure you are wondering how I did the background - it's hugs isn't it?
First, put your stamp FACE UP on your desk and ink it up!
Next you need to carefully place the cardstock down onto the stamp.
Finally pull over a piece of paper (your paper must be big enough to do this).  Press all around - I like to use my bone folder to make sure I cover the entire surface with pressure.
Below you can see a close up picture of the flowers stamped onto the background!  Super cute and a bit "old" looking.
We cannot forget the inside of the card and the outside of the envelope.
If you want to order... and your order is $50 or more, you will receive a FREE PAST PAPER PUMPKIN KIT from ME!  :)  Just use hostess code: SG3XHF99

Thanks for picking me as your demonstrator!

Something for Baby Girl or Boy

It's a Marvelous Monday!
I hope you had a great weekend!  I am trying to convince myself that today is a marvelous day!  LOL  Only 6 more Monday's (after today).   I was blessed to have a massage and a pedicure (so needless to say, Saturday was a RELAXING day).  Sunday Marc and I went to the beach early and enjoyed the windy day.  We did go into the gulf (the temps are in the 80's now) and came home covered in sand.  I needed a baby card for one of my customers and here is what I came up with.
I used the Lullaby Designer Series Paper and I love the Something for Baby bundle.  It is a coordinating framelits and a stamp set.  As you can see in the picture I added twine (from the thick cotton twine we sell) and a cute little heart button
All of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper is double sided.  This makes it super easy to coordinate for a boy or a girl.  As you can see below, I used the same pattern but flipped it over to show the "blue" side.
Colors: Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Sky, Hello Honey and Sahara Sand
Buttons: Sweet Dreams (2015 Occasions Catalog)
Bundle: Something for Baby Stamp Set and framelits
Stamp Set: And Many More

Thanks for following me!  See you tomorrow!

Fab Friday #62 Sketch with Adventure Awaits

Fab Friday #62
Good Morning!  This has been a long week with testing (and the dentist yesterday for two fillings!) and now today we are walking some of our 5th graders over to the high school to spend the day, and I am a lucky chaperone.  Despite sitting outside in the 90 degree sun, it should be a good day!  Tonight my plan is to get a pedicure with my mom!  What color should I get my toes painted?

I love this card sketch.  I have a feeling that I say that with every Fab Friday sketch, but I really mean it this time!  LOL  You should come play along, and let me know you did!  I'd love to see your creations.
I made this card with plans to send it to my brother for his 50th Birthday on Monday.  Yes, I have a brother who will be 50!  But it doesn't work for him - he was in the Air Force.  I will be using this for my second brother who will be 48 in May - he was in the Coast Guard.  The Designer Series Paper from Adventure Bound works perfectly with this stamp set!  Wondering what stamp set it is?  Adventure Awaits and it just happens to be a "bundle" with the DSP Stack.  The other images in the stamp set are large as well (and you will see more from them coming up!).

I used the extra little piece that I cut off, on the inside of my card.  I will stamp the perfect sentiment for Steve and mail it off next month.

Tomorrow is Saturday and I have a FUN post for you!  Don't miss it!  Thanks for following me!

Hot Diggity Dog Sympathy Card

Dogs are our family...
so when a friend loses their little furry friend, I love to send them at card.  I know how hard it is to loss a pet because I have lost several in my lifetime.  Most recently I have been feeling quite bad as the momma to Arnie.  He has torn his ACL badly and we are waiting for surgery.  He has been accepted into a trial at a local specialist here in Tampa!  Huge blessing!  Downside is that he can't be on pain medicine until the surgery and right now we don't have a date for that!  UGH  Poor little guy.  This all means that momma and daddy are carrying our 40 pound buddy up and down the stairs several times a day!

This stamp set is perfect for that (and for fun cards too!).  For this card I used Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Lullaby pack.  It's perfect for this card!
Do you love the strip of hearts?  They come from the Treat Bag Thinlits set!  You get three different "confetti" pieces: hearts, stars and mini circles.  I used the little hearts for the inside of the card.  Super cute!
Thanks again for following me!
Tomorrow is a Fab Friday and I have a great card for you!

Two Cards and a Video using Sponge Daubers and Decorative Masks

Sponge Daubers and Decorative Masks
Today I have two samples for you and a video from Stampin' Up!  Did you know that Stampin' Up! makes lots of videos?  I love them for two reasons: they are short and to the point.  Being a teacher, I appreciate anything has those qualities.  Speaking of teaching, we are done with Language Arts and next week is the Math test.  It's all done on the computer this year in Fifth Grade so it's been interesting!

Below is the card they show in the video (yes, I made it!).  It uses Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo if you'd like to know!  You can find the stamp in the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set.
Check out the how-to video below!  I promise you will love it and it's less than a minute.
Bonus Card!
The above card and video are what inspired the following card!  Shhhh.... this card is for a special friend of mine.  It uses the same idea with a different color scheme (Tangelo Twist, So Saffron and Crisp Cantaloupe).  I used two stamp sets: Groovy Love and Blessed by God.  Love the Decorative Masks?  Get them here!
I hope you are enjoying my daily posts!  I am definitely enjoying sharing my creations with you!  Thanks for being my customers and leaving comments!

For the Birds "Thinking of You"

I love For the Birds!
Did you hear me shouting?  I totally love the stamp set For the Birds and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't retire next week when the retiring list comes out!

I made this card for my chemo angel using the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper!  I love everything about this card.  1. It's simple.  2. Everything coordinates (gotta love Stampin' Up! for that) and 3. It's just so darn cute!
Do you love the little blue flowers as much as I do?  They really worked for this card.  I colored the everything with my Stampin' Write Markers and did the wagon with my markers and my blender pens!  Let me know if you need some help with this - or have no idea what I am talking about!

I am off for my second day of Language Arts testing with my class.  Fun times watching 44 kids take a test which I can't look at, which means I walk around aimlessly staring into space making sure none of our little blessings cheat.  Fun times.  I know you wish you were me!  See you tomorrow!

You Little Furball Cat Card

Good Morning!
Well all of our visitors left last Tuesday and I am starting to feel like myself again after catching up on sleep and things around the house!  Now it's time to get back to blogging, etc...  I made this card for my cousin who is a vet.  She loves animals and this set is perfect for her!
I love the look of white on white with the embossing.  It's such a classy look!  I added the banner using the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper stack.  How did I get the banner so long?  I snipped it in half and added half to the top and bottom of my cat "box".
I added the bitty hearts to the front and the inside of the card for some extra color and fun!
Don't forget the googly eyes!  I love the bit of extra dimension they give to an animal!  I know I cased this card idea from someone and I honestly have no idea where I got it from.  If it's yours, please add a comment and I will make sure to give you the credit!  Thanks!

See you tomorrow for more Stampin' fun!
