It's Saturday and I am a little late posting this today, we stayed up late watching a movie after we spent the day in the pool! I did run to Target yesterday morning and got some awesome teacher items in the "Dollar Spot". One of them was an 8-pack of blank books my kids can use. I haven't decided what I will use them for but I was thinking either vocabulary or poetry. There are 16 sheets in each one and it looks like an actual book. I also got some clear sheet protectors that I can use for Language Arts Centers. They are "bound" around each edge to make them super strong. They also have the cutest looking tins and other rainbow colored chevron things for my Tie-dye classroom!
This morning I was shopping online for my teacher planner and I am happy to say that I ordered an Erin Condren Planner. I am so excited about this as well. Her planner's are pricey (Happy Birthday to me) but include all of the essentials that the "free" planners I have been using for 12 years did not include. Enough teacher talk, let's move to this adorable Jar of Love card that I made!
Wondering how I made this card? I used the vellum and heat embossed the jar with gold embossing powder. I cut it out using the coordinating framelits and added the stamped "water image" using Pool Party. It is truly realistic looking. The set comes with the flower images as well as the stem. It looks so realistic. Not sure if you can tell by the picture but I added a 1/8" gold mat under the white layer. In person this detail adds so much pretty to the card.
If you purchase from me using this host code, you will get the 5 July "free" cards (posted below). Your purchases truly help me to keep my business going. I know there are a lot of stampers who post on blogs, but it means the world to me when you pick me as your demonstrator! If you make a purchase in my online store, please use hostess code: PPZSGEY2
